This isn't Motomatters, this place is actually amusing.

To paraphrase the question you so often throw at those you accuse of this 'paranoia': why do you come here?
To entertain myself. Why do you come here?

True. But they said they were going with small incremental improvement. Certainly not the heaven and earth movements for VR. When last interviewed and asked about the big changes coming for Duc, their principal said 'I dont know where these rumors come from'.
They still have 23 boxes of untested parts built at the request of Rossi's team which need testing.

21 million probably doesn't come close to the profit Dorna is seeing this year...he's making pennies.
The last numbers I am sure of is that Dorna made a profit of some $8 million off a turnover of some $200 million.

A better answer:

1. Because there is a wealth of real MotoGP knowledge here, which makes some posts a joy to read
2. To take the temperature of the hardcoare/crazy end of MotoGP fandom, and see what people think of developments in the sport
3. To engage in banter, something which I keep out of MotoMatters, because it's so hard to police.
4. To taunt Australians, who on the evidence of this forum, are worse bloody whingers than the poms.

So How much does Carmelo Ezpeleta make? Can't find info anywhere. Surely he's not making as much as Bernie Eclestone, but he must be making more than Rossi?

also, David Emmet and Kropotkin are the same person right? any relation to Gavin Emmet? Again, this sport isn't easy to get information online.

Ezpeleta owns part of the company, so his wealth is not tied to turnover. I suspect he is very well paid.

Yes on the first question, no, no relation to Gavin.

I have a legitimate question about the future of Golden Geese. Did Dorna actually try to discourage Yamaha from signing Pol Espargaro, as seemingly reinforced by all of this quota talk? or is the Espargaro scandal another manifestation of the Southern European media circus?

Any more genius insights, so Rossis made 13 million more than Dorna.....I wouldn't mind some of those apples.....

Having two bites at the cherry looks weak.

Actually, responding to stupid taunts looks weak.

I am weak.

Krop likes to play Nurse Cratchit

Surely you mean Ratched?

Which drooling, medicated and lobotomised inmate are you?

Or are you that dwarf aide (I'll take that role if you don't want it)?

And the main question is: Who gets to rip open Big Nurse/Kropo's blouse??

I am probably way off line with my thoughts on this subject and being totally fair it is all based on unverified heresay and is nothing more than the opinionated bleatings of an unsatisfied Aussie.............................. so here goes.

I do strongly and firmly believe that DORNA have at times changed rules or implemented new rules with the view of supporting one or more riders and with very little thought or care towards those riders not within the 'select' group. Of course Rossi is amongst this select group as he should be, both on weight of achievements and of course (like it or not) the sheer weight of dollars that he is able to generate for the sport by being, well Rossi.

Certainly at times there have been changes made that may well have benefited Rossi and others over even those others within the select group. But that does not mean that it was all about Rossi as were this the case than no other rider would have benefited where this has not always been the case.

That said, I also do not subscribe that any change was made or designed to harm the chances of someone such as Stoner either as to me that is just unsustainable in terms of a business action or standpoint (that does not mean that business cannot and will not be underhanded).

One must remember that for all heroes (Rossi) there must be a corresponding villain in order to make the the hero so much more appealing, and whilst we have had Rossi, we have also had Biaggi, then Gibernau and on to Stoner. All these guys happily fanned the flames and (IMO) greatly enjoyed being the 'villain' to the hero of Rossi (Gibernau less so), all the while they all particpated to provide a DORNA show .............. good versus evil and so on.

Today we have the problem that while we still have the hero (Rossi), we greatly miss the villain of the piece as (American friends with Hayden led memories aside) Pedrosa himself is difficult to dislike as we do not see reason (Puig is not Pedrosa), Lorenzo is just to damn robotic and Marquez is yet to show colours.

On top of this we now have a Rossi who year to date has been relatively irrelevant in results to date and thus is not able to generate enough (positive) interest to continue to be the golden egg that he has been for so long. Ergo, DORNA will be looking elsewhere but where or who is the open ended question

My bad. Your right. Always thought it was Cratchit

Only reason I know is that I've read the book umpteen times, seen the move once (? maybe twice, in full ?), so Ratched sticks in my mind. The fact I knew what you meant is what matters.

 apart from the real insight u bring from time to time, this here was one of ur better posts. Haha. I've never understood the Limey vs Pom (yes i know, i still dont get it) rivalry, but I've always found it hilarious.

Im glad u have thick skin Krops. We used to have some seriously top posters here but we've lost many because some took .... here too seriously and out of perspective. While some had genuine reason to be offended, my perspective has been to see virtual space like my favor show on TVo, if I dont like a certain part of the recorded show, I fast forward and get to the parts I like while others seem to kick the TV screen in.

More chance of MurderMac taking out Cal rather than VR. But it will be ok though...because Mac would only being going for a gap. Because hes a racer.

Where's he taking him? The movies? Swanky restaurant? Blue Oyster Bar? You bet Cal ain't gonna be happy about that!!!

On a serious note, i've been watching bike racing on & off since the 70s but have no technical knowledge of them & certainly don't have any inside info to the stories that the PR monsters don't want you to know. Keep arguing like little schoolboys but don't anyone leave or stop posting, some of the stuff on here is utter ..... but lots is worth it's weight in gold(en eggs) to someone like me. Without people like Jums, Krops, Arrab etc i'd get far more work done for my under-appreciative bosses & that would be a very bad thing...

Cheers all.
