If I was to walk down the road for a km with Stoner chatting ....... I very much doubt I would want to change him at all.



If I was to walk down the road for a km with Rossi ....... the first thing I would have to say is, lose the clown act and ........ and talk to me from deeper down fella. And you know what ..... he's probably a nice guy too, just like Stoner.

Speaking of dirtbikes I just got a real asswhooping from the kids at appin mx track and enjoyed every minute. .... they can ride. One of the Moss brothers might have been there too. On the way home my 7y old son who was riding looked at me a bit concerned, asking why I let so many people overtake me. Then he started to explain counter steering into the corner, turn this way to go that way. Little punk, who does he think he is?

I said it lots of times...Stoner is the fastest and more skilled on that bike as Rossi or Lorenzo is/would be... and did awesome things even if it was crap or not.



This is an offseason topic...and its crap topic for Stoners "blind" fans for sure. I said...im sure noone dislikes his temper when he gets angry or egoistic..disrespectful. Know lots of ppl like that and i know they have problems with ppl.

...and this shows just that, if you like that punch on Depuniet, talking and acting without respect...than you realy are a bopper

Stoner was disliked as a kid...why was that? (looks? ...ok a little, character? for sure). Its hard for Stoner its in his deepest corners of a brain (parents,history,sircumstances did this to him) but you have to control the mofo inside yourself...need to be strong... Everyone have a mofo inside. Man up!



Would you wannt your wife to act like Stoner when he gets a little angry? ...your mind says: hell no... but your heart says...its not that bad...i love her

Kids, gotta love em. Did you try telling him "its hard to pick the little kids out of the knobs of your tyres" ?



I spent a day at Nowra mx track a few years back and the Moss bro.s were there, its hard enough they are fast, but both being twins they seemed everywhere!! And they were on 80's back then.

Believe it or not but the best of the little blighters would get a massive advantage on me by opening the throttle on the entry to corners. I don't know how this works but my little punk kid seams to understand, yet at present he said to use the rear brake, based on my skill level. I kid you not these kids get together at the track and talk all kinds of stuff. Oh yeah and moss, I'm not sure but caught a glimpse of him before eating his roost.
 
Birdman, go and spend a day or so at a flat track with a soft sand based surface. You will learn to counter steer fairly quick, because its the only way to get around the corner with any decent speed and not have the front tuck

Mcknez, you are too clever for us, no-one could ever have guessed that you were laying so devious a "trap". Forgive me for my command of English, but I also have some cynicism regarding your claim of being a former stoner fan.



We get that you don't like stoner, a personal opinion to which you are entirely entitled. And he beats rossi.



Psychoanalysis via the internet of people you don't know and from whom you have never taken a history in any language is not a well recognised science to my knowledge, and I suspect you could sit in judgement equally nonsensically in your native language. You don't know talpa, by any chance?
 
given the fact that stoner is rarely better than the other front runners if he uses soft tyres, has anybody ever thought that this is "just" another revolution in the way of riding gp bikes ?is roberts a god compared to sheene because he could slide the rear?for sure not, it was just the better method for a different breed of gp bikes and i think we're sort of seeing the same thing right now



in the 80s/early 2000s it was about making the straights longer because you couldn't get the power down, now it seems like riders have to find new ways to get the best out of that amazing bridgestone front tyre.i would love to see some data on it, but i think casey is the king of corner exit speed which results in him having such big advantages when he is able to ride like that





soften up the tyres and i'm sure riders like lorenzo,rossi,pedrosa with their conventional riding styles will be much closer to casey.









as for the otherwise really rather irrelevant personality crap i'd have to agree with Barry, i find myself respecting the "no-nonsense" guys (stoner,spies,edwards) much more than the show men(rossi,lorenzo). but that has absolutely nothing to do with the way i admire each of those guys and if i was a racer i'd milk the Pr machine too so hats off to rossi and lorenzo

I am not sure whether he is the one who gets the best out of the tyre, or whether his riding style only works with the hard tyre. I suspect a controlled trial is about to commence, as for whatever reason the tyres will be much softer this year.
