Casey Potter?
Stoner said "we'll see" and on the evidence of 2011 we would appear to have seen, if a little later than casey and his fans may have hoped.
It is an interesting viewpoint that of the 2 best current riders, both of whom have had problems at times on the ducati 800 bike, that the rider who actually managed to win 23 races on the thing, rather than the one who has won none, was the one who displayed mental weakness.
These guys don't like each other, and any lack of respect between them is entirely mutual, such is life. It is extremely unlikely that stoner will get anywhere near rossi's career record, but his record is already such that there would appear to be no good reason for him to unilaterally kow-tow.
Yes but the one who has won none didn't say ......... "we'll see"
God you have issues McKnez
Or then again ...... are you actually deliberately posting such blatantly stupid stuff to make Stoner look good?
Barry, can I call you Barry? Thanks. You have shown to use that you are a useful and worthwhile member of society with your knowledge of building and maintaining musical instruments. If I didnt live on a tiny island 25 miles north of Scotland, but in Aus, I would be knockin on your door asking you to build me a 5 string fretless bass uke. Honestly.
So why does a bloke of your undoubted intelligence and ablility read the posts and recognise that no one (sensible) is saying Stoner is ....., or belittling his achievements, OK, a lot of folk agree wi me that he's no just a bunch o laughs, but hey, he can ride a bike.
So why do you insist on making oot constantly that Rossi has done jack .... and has only won races when Stoner A) wasnae there orwas on a crap bike. Facts are facts mate, when Rossi came to motogp, he raised the bar, and Jorge and Casey raised it again, making Rossi work for his last 2 titles. Sadly the bar fell on Dani and he broke, but that's another story.
Is it that your posts, like a lot of ours contain traces of tongue and cheek, and are taking the piss big time? If so I congratulate you, your'e ancestors were probably Scottish. If not Barry, I fear for your welfare in the merry old land of Oz
Peace and base
Pete

Just been home for three weeks and whilst there I went to Dan Murphy's for Xmas alcohol supplies and found this :
http://danmurphys.co...duct/DM_384013/
Was rather good if you like NZ Sav Blancs a la Oyster Bay! Must try the "Highway to Hell" Cab Sav next time I'm home!
This.
I wasn't around during the Rossi glory days, but .... it must have been bad for stoner fans to see the need to turn every post into, stoner is better than rossi.
I have read about that, but try to avoid dan murphy's on principle lest coles and woolies send the grapegrowers and vintners to the same place as the bakers and dairy farmers.
It seems slightly odd given angus is a teetotaller, and given bon's and to a lesser extent malcolm's history, but as a big-time ac/dc fan I might have to give it a try not being a teetotaller myself , although I am more a sancerre than a nz sav blanc man.
You have no idea. First it was Hayden who interrupted the Rossi worshipfest. He and his fan base were summarily raked across the coals , then drawn and quartered. Then it was Casey's turn, but his was different. The Rossimites saw something in him that scared them. He didnt just stumble across a title,he took it by force. They also found out that this dog bites when taunted, unlike the mild natured Hayden.
I have to say that barry's knowledge of bike racing in general is extraordinary going on the recent "who am I" thread. I have watched premier class racing for 25 years and have a nearly photographic memory in civilian life (a curio only in this internet age), but the stuff he recognised immediately about obscure riders in obscure series was most impressive, and I don't think easily googlable.
I must admit I did confirm many of them with google ( and have no qualms doing so ....... google is afterall the new encyclopeia Brittanica ), but I have to say I actually surprised myself how much I remembered ........ which made it easy to confirm the right info. if you know what I mean.
Since about 63,the only time I haven't sought GP results was post Creville, until Nicky livened it up. I went Bayliss v Edwards back then. Funnily enough, even as an Aussie, I can't say I was biased toward Bayliss. Those two put on some magic shows. Imola 2002? is one of the very few "close battles" I actually appreciated, mainly cos as the race progressed they stepped it up each pass, and still the other came back. Though I must admit, I am also aware that either could have won it.

letting your Guard down Barryyou'll be called a fanboy / bonner / bopper
So you only follow Bike Racing when a Aussie does well and have no interest in Motorcycle racing if a Aussie isnt on top
so you fooked motogp off after Crivillé took Doohans title Then went and watched WSBK unbiased (cough) Bayliss was Doing well.
and as Bayliss career was coming to an End Casey popped up on the top step in motogp so you followed Motogp again.
Q What will you follow when Casey's careers comes calling who's the next Aussie to come through the ranks. Thanks
