Don't forget to give credit to the author of that quote.

They were so overconfident that they started slapping new parts all over the bike in a panicked bid to make it slightly faster. The changes started after Stoner left the motogp field for dead at Qatar 2008.

Sorry, I'm not buying it.

Two options:

1. Stoner didn't get clearance for these remarks and he's simply applying his overconfidence to the entire team.

2. Ducati are lying because they can't say that changes to the tire rules caused them to make mistakes throughout the early part of the season.

I suppose both are equally likely, but the foul stench of secret rules changes (which obviously occurred after 3 months of emergency meetings) won't dissipate.

Your second point has nailed it.

Whilst i wont highlight the race most of us would have seen on TV when casey came back into the garage saying under his helmet to Filippo 'those were not my tyres'

It was then that Casey persisted with Bridgestones 2IC (the younger guy..cant rermember his name) and said what tyres did you give me...? Were they the tyres i had in FP?? His answer to casey was to the effect of ...'sorry mr stoner they were not, but the other tyres were not going to last the race distance"
Casey replied....'i did a 28 lap simulation on those tyres yesterday and you are now telling me they wont last for the 25 lap race???,...oh and one other question...what tyres did Rossi use?"
BS replied "The other ones Mr Stoner"

Casey was not mad, he just basically walked away and accepted the fact.

That was the point in time where Caseys results began to change as well, it was confirmation for the team to know that they had not been responsobile for the downturn in pace. A deal had been struck, it was profitable for those envolved and Ducatti could do nothing about it.

From what iv been told BS were rather remoursful about their decision as Ducatti bought them their first championship and in turn we should not see a repeat of of this treatment in 09.

This was tried and shut down after a few hours - it got a little bit crazy.

YEah I was really just joking but find it a bit disturbing that it was actually tried. LOL.

He should go to WSBK then we can see how much of a badass he really is among a full grid instead of a grid where barely a handful of bikes are decent.

Um hasnt he asked to race Bayliss at Qatar?

Please elaborate as to when this took place. I have no idea whether or not you've read my tire conspiracy epics, but I am not aware of the conversations you are speaking about.

I'm curious.

BTW if you're looking for evidence, I've amassed a mountain of coincidences and bits circumstantial evidence. I'd be MORE than happy to rehash it.
