Stoner: we were too confident.

JANUARY 13 - The 1st day of the year where the .... started, and still almost 3 months till the first race!

i hear you.... at the end of the day rossi and stoner are both great riders and they can both beat eachother if the bike is setup how they want it to be.
im not up for arguing over rossi and stoner this season we have much more stuff to worry about like seing some good RACING, at the moment im more interested in seing some racing rather than debating who is best.
id rather see if a different rider win the championship (even pedro) if it means seing some close racing through the season.
if rossi wins races without having to battle for them and if stoner wins races without battling for them i suppose its good for the supporters but boring as .... for those wanting to see some fighting for first place.

i still think rossi is best thats my opinion

stoner supporters think hes best thats your opinion

at the end of day who gives a as long as the racing is good

Has anyone else noticed that since the initial post or two, there hasn't been anything in this thread other than name calling? Keep up the gay bashing and ....... your mother jokes, guys. It's quite mature.

Yeah Ducati were too confident
<

They were so overconfident that they started slapping new parts all over the bike in a panicked bid to make it slightly faster. The changes started after Stoner left the motogp field for dead at Qatar 2008.

Sorry, I'm not buying it.

Two options:

1. Stoner didn't get clearance for these remarks and he's simply applying his overconfidence to the entire team.

2. Ducati are lying because they can't say that changes to the tire rules caused them to make mistakes throughout the early part of the season.

I suppose both are equally likely, but the foul stench of secret rules changes (which obviously occurred after 3 months of emergency meetings) won't dissipate.

i edited some posts, in case you're wondering.

keep sexual posts, whether it be for each other or for each other's mothers, in private messages.

Casey as usual is not very eloquent, but I think what he is trying to say is pretty unexceptionable ie that beating valentino rossi is fairly difficult. I don't think any confidence he had about beating everyone else in the field was misplaced.

Other than Nicky winning races again, my only wish for this series is for Casey to do something to earn him some respect. If it wasn't for his complaining (which, I think, is embellished by some Rossi fans), there would be nothing to have a go at him for. He can ride. Period. I find it funny when some of the boppers get pissed when people claim Rossi gets preferential treatment and the like but when there is any quote from Stoner it's a sand in the vag sob story.

I want a repeat of Jerez 05. Stoner up the inside, Rossi feeling Gib's pain. I'd like to see how many would still think it was a clean pass (it was a clean pass, mind you).

EDIT: When I say my only wish for this series..., I'm putting all the necessary change for the series aside. Cutting costs, reducing TC, increasing capacity, etc.

WHat is this a Harvard Ivy league web site for moto gp? ...... a buddy get it right. No one on this site is safe. Especially anyone who has anything to say positive about another rider other than ROssi. I just think the Rossi koolaid drinking club needs to realize that if motogp is going to keep bringing them a rossi victoy there needs to be other riders in order to make his plight for the title worth while. SO some of you guys need to give credit where credit is due.

Bro there is NO QUESTION that Rossi is the GOAT. Ok We all really know it. The problem is when everone gets all GAY for him and saying how bad he is going to do this and that and no one can touch him. OK we get it, it is tough as hell to beat him but never the less it can happen and will again. THat is the one thing that keeps most of us who yeah ok we like Rossi but would like to see a good race. SOmeone on this site even said they would rather have Pedrosa as champ as long as the season was a barnburner from race to race. Man as much as I can't stand Dani and his chimp I almost have to agree with that. I want to see GP's at the pinnicle of motorcycle racing and at present it sure isn't. WSBK is going to be the series to watch and I would almost bet there will be an American champ this year. Dang I wish he was on a Ducati instead of that ........ looking Yamaha.

YEah 990's with limited to no TC or electronics. Make the bikes beasts so the respect is there and such will be the racing.

It's a more sophisticated motorsports message board, yes. This isn't crash.net or SPEED forums. Most of the people here know what they're talking about. Name calling is generally reserved for when one no longer has a logical argument. If I wanted to read post after post of it, I would have joined crash.net or SPEED.

Then I think we need a thread just for name calling.
