At least the concept of anarchy in its proper sense (as alluded to by goatboy) requires no more tolerance (at worst case) than the "democracy" we currently have. And at best case, less tolerance.

I disagree. The basis of anarchy is total tollerance as no government is in place to enforce the values of the majority.

my interpretation of anarchy is everyone for themselves or is that wrong?

get real. when has any government ever enforced the values of the majority ? that might be how its supposed to work in theory but in reality they only enforce the values of the elite 5%

No thats it, if everyone is for themselfes then each person is in a position to tollerate everyone else. A democracy speaks for the majority, so they are relieved of tollerating things that are commonly deemed unacceptable.

i see your point but it excludes one major thing.......Human Nature.

no rules/authority leads to chaos, simple as.
