Yeah, pretty much the same. Except for Stoner's two wins and three podiums through the first five rounds of the past two seasons. That's pretty much the same as zero podiums and zero wins.
I'm certainly not going to argue with you about Stoner. Anyone who doesn't realize the genius in that man's riding is oblivious to the sport. So I'm not sure who you're trying to convert. It'd be like a bopper trying to convince you that Rossi is actually better than Stoner right now. You're not going to buy it, are you? So you're just spewing for the sake of spewing. And what you've done in your spew is .... on a world champion. Nicky Hayden may not have had the greatest grand prix career ever, and his world championship may not have been as impressive as some other champions.
Fact is, however, he won it. And if he was such a mediocre rider, surely someone else could have beaten him. But no one did. And that includes Casey Stoner. Don't get too upset, like I said before, he's the most talented rider on the grid. But the fact remains, based on your preaches, you'd think Casey Stoner was a superhero capable of doing anything. And he didn't. I've always said being low down the Michelin pecking order is what did him in. But the facts are the facts. Nicky Hayden was consistently the best rider of 2006. You're entitled to have your own opinions about whatever you like, but the record books will always show him name first that season. Numbers Don't L1e.
slip him a milkshake Rog, problem solved you won't hear .... from him for a couple of months....

Guys its easy, look back the last ten years, and ANYONE, who dares challenge Rossi has been raked over the coals .Biaggi, Gibernau, Hayden, Stoner, Lorenzo, now Stoner for the second time. Rossi, the Rossi press corp, and the yellow horde will villainize you when you get to close. Hell, i used to play into it, i hated Biaggi and Gibernau and never knew anything about them except for what i was fed by the Rossi propaganda machine and the fans, which i was one of. What made me see the light was how Nicky was treated. I watched that kid grow up, knew who and what he was all about, celebrated with him on Hayden Hill, and knew he didnt deserve to be treated like that.That was when i realized i had been drinking the cool aid. I pulled off those yellow glasses and had a good look around, Yea, Biaggi was still an Incorrigible prick,
but Sete was not an all around bad guy. Does Stoner whine, yea, but dont they all. What did Lorenzo do that earned him all the hate, nothing but beat Rossi and not bow out when he was told. Well that and the silly celebrations, which i thought were silly even when Rossi was doing them. If you step back and look at the egregious offences that these riders supposedly committed, its all mountains out of mole hills.

You judge everyone on yourself. Trouble is on powerslide is if anyone dare speak out against a top rider who isn't rossi there labled a bopper. Quite often thats is all thats needed to prove a point that has not even been made by the name caller. We hear bopper this and that but not debate the actual point that was made.
Its a fact that there are way more fanboys posts made by stoner fans here than there are by rossi fans or any other riders fans. Geez just look at the first page threads at the moment on this forum !

Stoners mard arse antics let him down big time. I was at Silverstone last weekend (fri, sat , sun) and Stoner and Simoncelli were visibly quicker than the rest. And "by far" Stoner looked the most comfortable and confident on the bike. He just needs to remember there is other riders out there besides him.

A handful of Lorenzo fans, and a handful of Stoner fans just makes it seem out of whack to the ones who used to could worship with like minded individuals without a whiff of decent. It reminds me of a time when i was in Talladega Alabama for a NASCAR race. There was around 160000 people in attendance, the dude next to me, a local says, dont that .... just make you want to puke. I say, whats that. He points at a couple of black guys and says, i aint never seen this many ....... in one place in all my life. I swear it was the only black's i had seen all day. I laughed and said dude, you need to get out more. I was living in Atlanta at the time and told him i stepped over twice that many just walking across a parking lot. He shook his head and said, i dont know how the .... you do it. Moral of that story is, 2 black guys out of 150000 ruined this guys day

Nail hit squarely on the head mate ! Problem is this Ad Hominem is always directed at one particular riders supporters.
The way I see it, both sides are as bad as each other. I don't have a dog in this fight, so perhaps my view is jaundiced by that fact.
Maybe ive just been here too damn long and seen way to much water pass under the bridge !
Reminds me of the disintegration of Yugoslavia, and the wars that broke out in Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. All of the regions troubles can be traced back to conflicts in the 13th and 14th centuries. Those with long enough memories remember who started it, and whose fault the situation is, and keep shooting people over it. Sounds like here.

Just have a look through the members list and count the number of fans with stoner or 27 refs in there handleswhy you're at it look at the dates they joinedThis doesn't include the rest of the bandwagon jumpers that latched on to stoner once he was winning (mainly haydonette refugees). On this forum in 06 stoner did not have a single fan. I stuck up for him after valencia 06 by saying he was just finding his feet, i got flamed !!
I joined in early 07 before the season started, i didnt know who this Jumkie character was, but damn he needed help.I had browsed the forum for a while and never bothered to join until i saw the fight he was in after Hayden won the title. It was like someone had dropped a Jew into the center of Mecca. As it turned out, he had plenty of acid on his tongue to take care of himself, but i joined in for moral support Over the years,there has been , a few whacked out fans of new upstarts,but none will ever get as whacky as the Rossi horde back in 06-07.
