There was no one at the time to take exception to this, just as there's no one to respond to Povol's post, because to my knowledge, there are no French members whatsoever on this forum. We have a voice from so many European nationalities - English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish, Scandinavian, Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch, Turkish, Croatian, Serbian, Czech just to name a few; plus, many members posting from the Americas - Canada, USA, Mexico, Brazil; then there's India, Bahrain, Japan, Malaysia, the antipodean fraternity in NZ and Oz, the ex- pats in the East- Jane, Mick and Dazza - Orient to Occident and a multitude of points in between. My point is, as a motorcycle racing forum, this spans the globe pretty comprehensively all things considered - and at the last count boasted some 2,152 members in its rapidly swelling ranks .......but seemingly no French contingent? pourquoi?

You forgot that country to the south of us that Curve and MyLexicon call home.

Well about 100 of them are the same person. But yeah, I get your point.

Rossi won't be settling for 2nd place here in Japan in Yamaha's hometown. If Stoner can get a win here it will be demoralizing for Rossi knowing how much a win here in Japan would mean to Yamaha. With that said......... GO CASEY STONER !!

no racer likes to come second no matter where it is. I doubt Rossi would be "demoralized" though. He is a tactician and plays the long game. There are more than 2 races to a season.

I think Rossi will go full out tomorrow. He needs to nip this in the bud and not give Stoner any more advantage. I'm hoping for this seasons Eastern version of last years Laguna Seca. Or Indianapolis where Rossi shows he can ride in any conditions.
Stoner wasn't happy with the bike this weekend or the lack of practice/quali time, but Vale was calm as usual.
See you in the morning, beer in hand I hope!

Don't let events in the real world interfere with your prejudices. In the reports I have read rossi has been the one complaining vociferously about the lack of practice time and change of the date to a rainier part of the year (probably justifiably in my view), and stoner the one saying it is the same for everyone; both seem calm.

I too hope fror a close race and think there is a fair chance rossi will win it.

Anybody know if the weather has changed since 250 FP today... I can't get video and don't know why there's only 7 (slow) bikes on the track after 20 minutes of 800 FP...

I think we're the only two present mick because I'm in the exact same boat.

Just read that 250 FP was wet but, "Just after the end of the session heavy rainfall began to drop", from MotoGP website... So it looks like it must be raining again... 8 minutes left, 11 riders out, no rossi or stoner, and those on track slow and only doing a few laps...

Elias 2nd fastest in morning warm up - This is funny because there was a motogp.com headline during the week "Make or break time for Elias".

At least by starting the contract negotiations early they get him going at the start of the season i.e. contract time all year round.

He should be top 5 if this continues

125s on track. Its drying out... gotta keep my eye on this for my MotoGP fantasy picks...

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (gsfan @ Apr 26 2009, 10:18 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Just picked mine. Top 2 are easy the rest is a total crapshoot...
I think top 3 (VR, CS, JL) are set... agree the rest are up for grabs... But I have different picks for really dry or really wet conditions... so I'll update my picks AFTER the 250s!

Just watched the 250 race. The weather is fantastic; clear and sunny.
A few small areas of the track are still wet - the area beneath the bridge (no biggie, it's straight), and half a dozen short sections where water is continuing to drain across the course. Several of these are located on a corner exit; riders will need to lift a little or stand the bike up earlier than usual.

Don't bother watching the 250 race...yawn. Let's hear it for a good GP race, MY GOD, we are due arn't we.

BTW the track was 99% dry for the 250 race. Not sure if weather can change in 45 minutes.

It CAN, but it looks unlikely at this point... clouds have dispersed.

Also I think the 250s were worth watching... lots of interesting events... not a close finish, though!

I think it looked too sunny for it to rain any time soon. Now just hoping for a good race.
