*SPOILERS* Jerez Rd3 Race Discussion

It was great when Rossi and Pedrosa were riding to parc ferme and Rossi put out his hand and Pedrosa didn't give the usual limp handshake - but rather smacked his hand in manly style - real respect with no sense of beat-down, resentment - very good feeling of sportsmanship. Maybe there's hope for the kid.

Sorry to be redundant - but Melandri on a Kawi in 5th! ....... great stuff.

Rossi - masterclass.
Dani - good ride but a bit of fight still needed. There's always the sense once someone gets past that the fight is over.
Stoner - really good result at his worst track.
Randy - brilliant result and if you keep getting results like this we'll get the bunnies at every race.
<

Melandri - awesome work on the kwak.

The rest, especially suzuki - meh!

Well ,what a race on top of Bradley winning it was a lot better than the previous two so far.Particularly enjoyed the battles for sixth althiugh it got a little muted with Dovi running off, made up for Marco though as well as Randy, good finishes.Gutted for Jorge but I`m sure he will bounce back as will Nicky hopefully.Best ride of the day must go to Vale for his clincal pursuit of Dani, all in all a great days racing and roll on Monday for the Oulton BSB round.
<

The points race is already looking lopsided.
<

Hey - he was doing pretty good. Not as good as he hoped or as was predicted.
Wanting it real bad just wasn't enough. Must have killed the little guy to fall
while in 4th at his home track.
<
Oh well . . . they say stuff like that
"builds character."

And just a crazy thought. Remember when Ozzie Oz-Boy was on a Honda and
was known as Crashy Stoner? Maybe D-Poon needs to switch seats,
get on a Ducati!
<
and let Hayden romp Honda-style (minus Puig) with the Bunnys.

P.S. Pacquiao wins!!! MUAHAHAHA

Great job by Rossi and his crew to win this race in morning warm up. I couldn't believe all this .... yesterday about Rossi running scared and lacking motivation
<
Last year, there were tyres arriving with Rossi, Stoner and later Pedrosa, literally written all over them. This year we have the 'one size fits all rule' and the overtly preferential treatment they received over their Bridgestone counterparts has ceased. This has called for a response from team and rider alike. Rossi wasn't intimidated by the competition yesterday, rather angry and perhaps frustrated. However he knew what had to be done, and during this mornings pre race session, they extrapolated the data gleaned from qualifying, tweaked the set up by adjusting the weight, and the geometry of the M1, and found what they were looking for. In short, they fixed the problem - as that team has done many times in the past. This wasn't blindly shooting in the dark, rather the clinical analysis by the Doctor shone a light on the situation and messrs Burgess, Stephens Briggs et al. responded accordingly. Vale than went out and rode it with consummate ease- a great job by rider and team alike.

I don't think Dani was lacking in fight today as some have suggested. I think stamina is still an issue, as is tyre degradation on that Honda. Jerez doesn't involve the heavy braking of Qatar and Motegi that so exacerbated the tyre wear issues in the last two races, and Honda have certainly made significant steps towards rectifying what was a very acute problem - witness Dovi's charge, and Randy's superb placing. Although, as Teomolca I think highlighted, Toni was carrying 3kg ballast to try to sort out the rear end/weight distribution problems that are afflicting him due to his weight (or lack of it), and this is currently crucifying the way that bike responds to the 'stones...but then why isn't Dani similarly suffering?

If Vale wins the next race at Le Mans, he's on for the ton at Mugello You have to sometimes believe someone is scripting his story
<

Well, not a bad race. Vale looked like he was gonna win from lap one and that was that. Lorenzo was obviously a bit disappointing today, and the damage the crash does to his championship just made it worse. I bet he's livid. Besides that i think the mentionable performances were obviously DePuniet and Melandri (ahead of both Suzukis in the points now) who both did well. Takahashi put in a decent ride so hopefully he can build on that. Hayden barely scored a point, and really needs to sort himself out before he gets Melandri'd.

boring race

almost fell asleep. woke up when lorenzo crashed.

good race for melandri and depuinet
