But they don't have much to say about how to build the engine.
That was as far as I could see what was gsfan's point and I agree. They can have opinions and input on how they want the engine to behave but not how the team build it. This look very much like the team manager/chief engineer thing. Just like we see in other motorsports btw. There has been a few team managers and chief engineers that has left teams in disgrace for similar issues. Of course there is the tiny chanse that all the members of the Suzuki team are sneaky .......s, including the rider and that they discuss how to cheat before every race weekend, but I doubt it.

could this be the news?

He has no ride in GPs, and if he does it will be crap ride and not worth the switch.....there maybe a WSBK ride for him at Yamaha.....but you are right AMA is the way he will go,

I read about the new series yesterday. Man the AMA will be gutted. Spies and Mladin will race in it for sure unless Spies somehow lands a motogp ride which looks unlikely.

For sure I agree they have input and they want the fastest bike on the grid but this is an odd case. The GS is the fastest already. Why cheat? They are only competing against themselves no one else but Spies and Mladin are in contention so the team will take the championship either way. I read that the crankshaft was visibly different and I would like to see photo evidence.

Somebody in Moto-GP ought to sign the guy. Rode an awesome race today and in the previous ones. He definately has the talent, drive and guts to place consistant top 5 IMO. BTW, I'm no big Spies fan myself but this is beginning to change rapidly. Wish him the best and it would be nice to see another American in the running. On the other hand I believe Edwards should be on his way out. Again, just my opinion. Anybody know what Colins contracted for in the future?

Toby Moody on Eurosport suggested that SPIES will race in the AMA aboard a YAMAHA R1 in 2009 with an option of rding for them in2010.
Makes sense as EDWARDS will be gone from Tech3 by then and the seat will be filled by another American.

But spending a year back in the series would kill his career. I thought this season was overkill.

It would really kill his career if he didn't produce a championship on the R1. Which is a real possability racing against Matt on the dominant Suzy. Really like to see him in Moto-GP.

I think theres a good chance that if he can get his current sponsors on board, he has a good chance at being the third Suzuki.

Na Denning didn't .... up. Spies at all the other tracks on the schedule will struggle where loris's experience will keep him in front of him. Spies rode a great race though at a track that no one but Spies rode previously.

IF I hear one more person saying that he will stay in AMA I might just go on a killing spree. Staying in America would entirely ruin any chance of a career in wsbk or motogp. He has clearly stated that he will not stay in the US anymore. It would be the most stupid thing a talented rider has ever done. He will go nowhere and become a nobody just like Mladin. Nobody in the world cares if you win 5 or 6 championships in the US....the only way I can see him stay one more year in the US is iff someone gives him an option for GP or WSBK for 2010, but that is still ridiculous. Both US series are in turmoil and nobody knows what is going to happen. If Spies does not even land a WSBK ride for next year, than he will probably never be good outside the US.

no dude you're wrong...Loris's "experience" hasn't done .... for him most of this year...Spies is at his prime....he beat BOTH the full time riders (in the wet no less)...the minimal track knowledge he HAD was gone as soon as the rain started...

Whatever man. If he gets a ride next year he won't do better than loris.
