Spies to announce deal at Indy.

Nah man, that is not definitive. I admit, my Italian sucks, but it doesn't read like you think (according to me). The highlighted part is saying though he is linked to the satellite Honda; they may make an announcement about the "future" for Spies at the Indy GP. Didn't they make the same claim that an announcement would be made about Hayden and Ducati at Misano that didn't happen? I guess Indy is where a wave of info is gonna hit the fan.

Biker Girl, we need your help please.

BTW, while we are on the subject, BEN SPIES IS THE 2008 AMA SUPERBIKE CHAMPION! (OFFICIAL)

How can it be possible Maladin gets the title of cheater of the year when his bike and Spies are identical? Does it not suggest to you the mental midgets singled out Maladin (and threw in Hayden's in for sake of appearing to be fair) and didn't even look at Spies bike? Just because Maladin spoke his mind about the cluster .... ama has created for next year and Spies kept his mouth shut like mommy told him to? If you believe the ama treated this in a fair and consistent manner then you should be hiding your teeth under the pillow and checking for money from the tooth fairy.

I usually find your opinion some what entertaining and enlightening, but oy vey.

Sorry for the high jack but , "cheater of the year"?

If you've read the press releases from both sides, they've been very open about what they (AMA) wanted, when they wanted it, why they wanted it and Suzuki have responded in public as well. Suzuki came nowhere near providing what the AMA asked for.

Don't forget the other DQs this season.

The only real conspiracy is why nobody is asking the Question of the Year which is How long have Suzuki (and others) been using illegal cranks (or other parts), how long has the AMA been looking the other way, and why?

Go back and read again why the AMA DQ'd the crank. No visible tagging, visibly different metallic color, different surface. If the crank met the rules, it would super easy for Suzuki to provide a similar crank from a production machine.

Instead, Suzuki hemmed and hawed and in the end produced nothing even close to a part meeting spec, nor provided the requested number of samples. You would assume that if the part was correct, they would do everything in their power to comply with the requests from the AMA if nothing more than to clear their name and reputation.

The part either meets regs or it doesn't. If the part was correct, you can bet that Suzuki wouldn't acquiesce so easily. They'd be like, "Here's the friggin part, get stuffed!" So, why haven't they?

they talk about it on "AFTER THE FLAG" if your a member of the motogp.com site....they were told by the ASPAR team that ONLY Kawi could make such an announcement...

PS: Ben would sell more RIZLAS than Capi

Even though i rather not see Spies in MotoGP, if he indeed got a ride for next year already.... I would love nothing more than to see him get spanked so he realizes he ain't as badass as he, and most of you here, thinks he is.

According to some, Rizla Suzki only needs Spies to be overnighted. Let's hope somebody cuts some holes in the box.

No identical. Yes they didn't inspect Spies' bike when Mat got DQed, but they inspected ALL three factory Suzukis the next qual, and Mladin's again was dirty.

I hear what you are saying. And keep in mind, I don't like Mladin. So I admit, I'm bias.

As Jumkie said, Spies was inspected and came back clean as a whistle.

IF shinya gets to keep his ride or possibly gets another one then I would say if he doesn't at least have 2 podiums he will be in his last season as a gp rider.

I can't remember when he was last on the podium, I've always admired him even more so after that big blow out a few seasons ago. Isin't that the fastest crash in gp history?
Hes a nice guy with a great character and he certinaly has the skill and talent to ride a bike very fast, but ya he hasn't been getting the grades for whats ever reason and there is plenty of young blood ready and waiting to fill his seat, so.. we shall see

Right he just never seems to get beyond midpack. I think if he has guys crash in front of him he could win but never in a out and out battle for the lead would he prevail. It could happen just like anything in this sport but yeah with all the time he has had and Japan supports the .... out of him, had real good sponsors but never made anything from it.
