These are the results of the 2007 Spanish championship in it's 3 categories. Though Supersport and SBK aren't as strong other National championships like BSB or AMA the 125cc is surely the most important national championship in the world, guys like Stoner, Pedrosa, Lorenzo etc have competed there.

Very talented kids here, many world championship riders. Gotta keep an eye on the top guys like Bradl, Redding or Tutusaus future MotoGP material.

Brit rider Gowland won this one which was thriller. Very brave guys.

Some names here might be familiar to you, De Gea the champion (4th championship) has raced a few times in 500cc/MotoGP on Kenny Robert's bike. The veteran champion will be in WorldSS next season.

Cardoso .... he's been around 500cc/MotoGP for some time, more precisely around the BACK of the grid lol.

Kenny Noyes is the son of respected US journo Dennis Noyes.

Bradl, Vasquez and Masbou are already racing in 250's, right? And Redding I seem to remember being involved in the Red Bull Rookies?

Yeah I heard a lot about this class on motogp.com. Yes Scott Redding finished 2nd place in the standings. That's how he got a 125 Moto GP ride. Shame he didn't win the Spanish championship but still is great for us British fans to have another British rider in the 125 class. He is only 14 years old as well. I wish Scott all the best for 08 season of the 125 class.

Another British rider in Supersport I wasn't aware of in Spanish Supersport and won the title? Even more excellent news. Now British Motor cycling is going somewhere. I support any British rider in any class and any form of Motorcycle racing.

@ Teo:

Is this Redding kid showing any potential from what you've seen/heard?

Only thing I've heard is he learns tracks very quick, which should put him in good stead.

Ah that's good news to hear phleg. I think if Scott learns the track's quickly then we might see him getting some points and maybe even podiums. Go Scott.

Bradl and Masbou have done races in 125cc (not sure if full season or just occasional wild cards), Vazquez is a weird case he did the 2nd part of the world 250cc championship while ridinging a 125cc in the SPanish championship.

Yeah, Redding was impressive, he won the last 3 races consecutively. I think he could be a pain in Talmacsi's back soon hehe. If I had to bet my money on who'll be the next Brit world champion I'd say Redding ahead of Toseland and co.!
Next year he'll do both the Spanish and World 125cc in the same team, Blusens Aprilia.

About Gowland (Supersport champ) you gotta have in mind that category is the weakest of the 3 so the guy could be really good or just average on a WSS field.

God how can Scott do two things at once? What happens if the 125 Moto GP championship and Spainish 125 Championship are on the same weekend? That would be difficult. I wish Scott all the best though in the two classes.

I'm guessing the 125GP would take priority over the regional Spanish championship.

Thanks for the assessment Teo.

The calendar of the Spanish championship is made in a way that it complements the world championship, so there aren't races in both at the same time, plus they avoid that rule about not testing in a GP track 1 month before the race (or something similar).

So calendar looks quite weird, there's almost no races in summer and it ends in December (or almost) but it's OK, weather is fine.

How did Bradl beat Redding? Bradl won 50% fewer races.

How did Gowland beat Gomez? Gowland didn't even win a race.

How did Gea beat Morales? Morales won more races.

The Spanish national series is stupid. The person who wins the most races doesn't win the championship

Exactly the same way Hayden beat Rossi in 2006. By being more consistent.
