So Who is your money on to be the 2016 champion?

Well...look at all the carnage and gnashing of teeth that occured when: 3 Rossi fans (you, mike, heidi) and 1 Lorenzo fan (WVMotoGP99) and 1 Barbara fan (Willski) and 1 Nicky fan (Jumkie) sat at a table together. .... punches & $500 worth of drinks later we were all ready to strangle eachother with group hugs. It was real murder, mayhem and torture.

Bahahahaha! I know! I know!

But I laughed a lot there too!!!!

...., that was a BLAST. I MISS YOU GUYS!!!!!

GUNA!

That so had me thinking of the movie scene with Jim Carrey pretending to talk out of his ... :D

Excuse me, do you have a mint?

GUNA!

I won't be able to make guna this year if you guys make that 'the' meetup, i'm pinning my hopes on Indy going ahead. If not I'll probably double dip with Guna and COTA in 2017.

I think it wil be hard, but Stoner can win the 2016 WC

Michelin could suit Pedrosa's style, not sure about Lorenzo. Lorenzo had found the secret to go fast in 2015 with bridgestone tyres. This is what he said. There is something he knew that any other rider didn't find out. The secret was with braking and corner entry..dunno if he can do the same in 2016.

I expect Marquez to...crash. He always crashed in his career when it didn't count, so he knew the limit, but I think he will have a difficult life with Michelin and new(old) software.

Crashing hasn't stopped MM from winning 4 titles, or from riding a close to perfect season in 2014. He also showed much better judgement in the latter half of the 2015 season, whether or not that fits your narrative for the season, and specifically said he had learnt from the season that sometimes he just had to settle for the best result possible.

I could see MM and JL having problems adapting to the michelins. MM is fairly adaptable though, and is more likely imo to have problems from HRC giving him too raw an engine or not getting the generic software right initially.

If MM and JL do have tyre problems, I think DP probably won't and is a more likely champion than Rossi if he doesn't have any injuries (always a big caveat with Dani, although the apparently long term arm pump problem seems to have resolved with the in season surgery last season) given he was straight out faster than VR when healthy at the end of last season, beating him in 4 of the last 5 races .

I have been a Jorge Lorenzo fan since that huge high side at Laguna and his crew putting him back on the motorcycle. For me his stock went up further when he bothered to actually paint something with oils for the children's benefit auction.

On the bike he is joy to watch, impossibly long, sweeping arcs, rarely out of shape riding in that classic style one sees so rarely nowadays with the feet actually on the pegs approaching the corner.

The best will almost always adapt to the new rules, machines, tires etc.

One other thing about Lorenzo: he defines relentless.

The season? It is long.

My money is on Jorge as well, and he even more definitely has my support. I agree relentless is the apposite word for him.

I do see some possibility of the michelins not suiting him though, they didn't seem to in 2008, and he did have a strong symbiosis with a particular Bridgestone tyre.

As you say, the season is long giving him time to adapt and he is a great and mature rider now rather than a rookie. I expect him to be better in damp conditions as well, as the memory of the multiple clavicular fractures fades and/ or is assuaged by the 3rd/5th title.

Yeah but crashing didn't turn out good for his championship last year didn't it? Probably he blames Rossi but he only has to blame himself for Argentina,Mugello, Aragon...And he crashed a lot in two days of test at Valencia. You can't do the same you used to with bridgestone. You could feel the limit with Bridgestone. With Michelin you just find yourself sitting on the ground

"While Lorenzo struggled, Rossi was elated. The Italian veteran was consistently fast, posting the most laps in the 1'29 bracket, and enjoying the feeling of riding with the Michelin tires. "Already from this morning I was able to go fast and have a good feeling," he said. "It is different to ride with the Michelins, but at the same time I like. It is a lot of fun. This is important." Last test, Lorenzo dominates Rossi complains, next test new tire, Rossi is elated.

My money is on Rossi. He is the house.

I told you last year Rossi wasn't winning.

I'm also telling you that he isn't winning this year either.
