So Rossi's Bike is better??

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Babelfish @ Jul 23 2009, 01:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>At the same time it's obvious that Rossi has a better connection to the factory. Anything less would be a real sensation.

Well I was looking at both bikes from the grandstands at the track (keep in mind, I stretched my neck as far as I could go & I leaned my head over the people sitting in front of me, so I got an excellent view) and I think Jorge is lying & Rossi is telling the truth--the bikes looked identical to me!

What you think Babel? What mechanical "parts" look different?

It's clear as day that Lorenzo is getting into Rossi's head given Rossi's response in 3rd person. And as we all know those who talk in 3rd person tends to be someone who is insecure, or someone who feels threaten, whatever the case... it's one in the same. Never before have Rossi even uttered something such as this !!!!!!!!! You crazy Rossi fanatics know it.... and we all know it, so please enough with trying to defend your hero, because really Rossi is scared shitless of Jorge Lorenzo.... and that my delusional Rossi fans is the truth, there's just no denying it.

Acceptance

A) I have read & watched a lot of Rossi interviews over the years, I've never know him to refer to himself in the third person before.

B ) If Rossi has different parts, they ain't doing much.

C) Lorenzo's "sportsman like" behaviour is well out of character, it will end in fireworks.

but it doesn't necessarily mean rossi is psychologically threatened by lorenzo

I don't think Rossi is psychologically threatened by anyone......

My take on this is different (not that I know ....)
Rossi is #1 and gets the bits JB wants. Lorenzo is #2 and gets the bits Lorenzo wants.
And Rossi gets the rabbits that keep coming our of JB's ....

I think both Rossi and Stoner like a very extreme style of bike setup but they are the only ones that can handle it. I think Lorenzo (and others) like a very standard, well balanced set up. Probably Lorenzo would not be able to go as quick on Rossi's setup, and probably Rossi gets different bits to get to that extreme setup.
No point in Lorenzo having those bits because they are no use to him, but it makes a good story for Lorenzo to justify being beaten.
Same for Stoner -v- MM and Stoner -v- Nicky.
Marco and Nicky could not ride the Duc with Stoner's set up, so whats the point in them getting the bits to replicate Stoners setup.

I think Lorenzo's hints about having a 'lesser' Yamaha, which come after two consecutive defeats at the hands of his teammate (he never made any mention of that before), are a sure sign he felt the blows. His faked aplomb is about to crack...

i believe both fiat bikes are the same.. if they werent, i dont think the riders would be so close at almost every race..

i think, in motogp, it's about finding a good base setting so you can give your 100% and feel good with your bike and just fine tune it through every weekend..

for example, i believe, last year, stoner found it after the catalan gp, and rossi at laguna seca. this year, i think the first time rossi said he felt comfortable on his bike was before the catalan gp..

I go for the earlier comment that not everything that rossi likes would necessarily work for lorenzo anyway. Lorenzo theoretically may have some advantage (and admittedly possibly offsetting disadvantages) from weighing less than rossi as well.

Whilst not suggesting he or anyone is capable of out-psyching rossi, jorge is a plenty tough hombre. However if as it seems he is publicly hawking himself to his team's most bitter adversary one might be led to the belief that he does not consider himself a serious chance for the championship this year, as this would not neceessarily seem to be the best judged tactic to garner equal support from yamaha.

Agreed.
"Now I have two younger rivals who really want to beat me and that is fantastic for my own motivation" - MCN interview ahead of this weekends GP.
Threatened?, absolutely not.
Enjoying being pushed?, Definately.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (somedamnwriter @ Jul 24 2009, 11:45 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>but it doesn't necessarily mean rossi is psychologically threatened by lorenzoI was infering that he didn't actual say it. Seems they have been trying to stir it by misquoting Furosawa's comments about Lorenzo too.

The real strength of Rossi, imho, is that for him racing is a basically a game. Dangerous, but still a game. For most other riders, and especially for someone like Lorenzo, it's something really serious, like life and death. So they end up with more tension. It's not Rossi playing mind games on other riders. It's the mind of each rider that plays its own tunes...

Before you try to spot differences you need to know the difference between front and rear Jumkie.
No they DO NOT use a wide front tire and narrow rear tire.
