Simoncelli

with his upbringing in racing i'd be very surprised if he made the switch any time soon

Me too. Problem is also that he is one of the few fast Italians, and the supply of those is running very short. Beyond Iannone (who is even more flawed than Simoncelli) there's basically nobody. Maybe Simone Corsi, but Corsi hasn't exactly been brilliant. So Simoncelli is here to stay, for the moment.

so simoncelli could be champion in wsbk because the front runners there screw up more often than in motogp?i'm not so sure biaggi and melandri would agree

Look at where Biaggi and Melandri were in MotoGP. They're both great riders, but they both make mistakes. Look at Biaggi's season so far, it's been a compendium of ....-ups, but he's still in the hunt for the title.

Yep, i made a comment a while back about the number of unforced errors that Biaggi makes on a race to race basis. They are almost unexplainable. It appears to be just lack of concentration, and when he makes a mistake, they usually come in bunches. He is a great rider that is missing that 'it factor' whatever ' it' is.
