Am deffo going this year whether I can round up some mates or not - don't fancy taking the Mrs & kids this time, will be a nightmare with 3 under 6 year olds!  Will camp on my my own if needs must!


 


Anyone planning going?  Will prob drive down from Lancashire, so thinking could pick anyone up en route and discuss the finer points of server management and site moderation down the M6 ;)  I've got a massive 6 man tent, but thinking just getting a crappy pop-up to save on the hassle.

Cheers - sounds good.  Did you camp outside the track last year or have I made that up?


 


Going to try and rope a few buddies in - we had a group of 5/6 of us last time at donny, they were all non-motogp watchers mainly and had a right hoot.  Stayed in a beat up £300 2 berth caravan.


 


Anyway, gonna start hounding people and just put a shout on facebook.
 
2011 we were outside for easier access to the paddock,


2012 we were on the site but couldn't all get together.


There was a group of around 10 of us camping,


And Willski and co poshed it out in a mobilehome that was not allowed to approach, or even think about approaching where we were lol.


Despite the abnormal temps, we roughed it out in the big tents living area with the heaters on, (can get about a dozen in with folding chairs) it was okay, good convo, beer, and what company! Biggest bunch of misfits I've ever met (except Debs, MrsBass).


Oh and did I say I love em all ;)

EDIT! Hahaha just seen the new Avi, Kids entering the toy story stage?


My biggest nightmares are Beauty and the beast and Lion king.


I know the words to both even now,(16yrs on) and sing if I bloody hear them without even knowing I'm doing it!


Many an embarrassing moment I can tell you lol.

Just been reading on Silverstones site that they offer deals for bike & car clubs - might be worth an email to see if we can save some coinage?

Ben, I don't recommend staying with Little Red Poddy Mouth.  He cusses like every other word, and .... being his favorite.  I recommend you take the moderation team with you, as he will keep you busy.


 


If you are looking to spoon up with somebody in a tent, leave that 6 man at home, you won't need the ample room.  A two man pup tent will be plenty, as Willski is your man.


 


Ok, note to sell.  BEN is going to Shiverstone this year.  Dually noted.  (If I show up, you're not gonna try to dodge me again, right?) :)

He's got a camper tranny van that we use for going club racing..........are campervans and tents separate Phil?

ha!!  I'm sure cnt will be the most overused word of the weekend.


 


Dodge you?  When was that?  Not be able to make Silverstone since GP moved there, unless you mean at Donny?  I'm sure I tried to call Rog but couldnt get intouch or something, can't remember that far back.

i'll be in london the week before the gps and arrive at the track either thursday or friday,whenever you guys get there.

I'm aiming to go, but probably not for the whole weekend, my mate gets me Friday tickets usually as his family come first on race day. If I do stay the weekend though I can borrow my parents motorhome.


 


And no, Ben has already tried prising tickets via my mate, but my Mrs gets priority ;)


 


P.S. Jums, I plan on going to 'Guna in 2014 and should be getting paddock passes for the whole weekend so hopefully i'll see you there :) You still owe me a beer for your Australia 2009 faux pas!

Only a serious dose of being bed ridden for a month would stop me going to Shiverstone, goes without thinking.  I'm glad I built a little bit of savings before Cameron cut me income!

I could take the little 125 on there, if it's flat or downhill (hates uphill) it will hold at 70.

sounds good to me.  and if you are renting, and you don't want to do the M1, I know an alternative route - burning down country roads at 70
