Huh? You got a good source on that deal? I thought the deal was done..... I guess the rumors the deal was done is just that, a rumor.

I'm sure Krop's might have some inside knowledge, hopefully he hits us with some of that news soon?

More an educated guess but i hope im wrong and Cal doesnt get left out in the cold.

What's happening w/Bradley Smith? Is he getting the Tech3 M1? I thought Herve was saying something about cancelling the contract... Good performance from him this weekend; I like the kid & his work ethics, but I always thought it was premature to sign him a 2 year deal last season. Anyone know where Ianonne, Pol Espargaro & Tom Luthi is going next year? I personally think they should have a better shot at a GP machine than Smith.

or does this go here? i dont know yall decide..

Wow, please someone translate this, Google translate leaves a lot to be desired.

Old Ezy was right, Rossi will be on something competitive during the 2013 season. If Marlboro jumped to Yamaha, wouldn't that send Ducati into a tail spin, or would Audi be able to sustain the MotoGP effort? Lots more questions for the silly season.

well other than replacing rossi at ducati (if he goes to yamaha) i really don't see where he could end up.

maybe bmw wsbk?

or maybe, he just did a crutchlow...that is get a bit attention and put pressure on yamaha.

btw, is it a possibiliy that tech3 could get a factory bike for a different rider than spies?

if not its best spies goes there to have factory bike like in 2010 and dovi goes to the factory team

Its very possible that Ducati may have approached him, There arent very many factory bikes left. He probably has better offers from SBK teams.

WSBK is in a very good position to kill moto gp right now. If they manage to get Stoner (2014) and Dovi over there, Nicky would probably feel more comftrable with the idea of racing in WSBK.which seems to be his best and only option at the moment. Only leaving Rossi and Lorenzo to follow suit in order to put the dagger in Dornas heart by 2014. It may seem like a long shot but WSBK is an Italian series and Im sure it might have crossed Valentinos mind once or twice before. No one has ever won both the Moto Gp and WSBK crown and thats something Valentino, Casey or Nicky might want to add to the resume.

in 2013 we might be watching Lorenzo Marquez and Pedrosa all chase each other for 19 races with an uncompetitive Rossi behind them followed by a bunch of CRTs. Moto2 is producing some great quality racing but thats because the machinery is more equal, it will all change in Moto gp once the riders go into the moto gp system for example espargo is on a CRT Ianone on a satelite bike and Marquez on a Factory bike its all going to go to ..... There is also not enough room for all the Moto2 talent in the premiere class therefore it will send a lot of those young guys to WSBK.

Call me crazy, call me stupid, call me both, but if I worked for WSBK id be writing some very nice emails and sending some very nice gift baskets to Mr. Stoner, Rossi, Hayden and Dovi.

What's the compensation like between the 2 series? Do top teams in WSBK even come close to MotoGP in terms of it?

I doubt the money is the same, but big names like Rossi Stoner and Hayden would bring some money with them. Even if they had to take a pay cut for a season or two they wouldnt be going Bankrupt.

In Rossi's case i think Dainese and AGV would be happier sharing add space with fellow italians Perelli and Alfa Romeo instead of BMW and Bridgestone

Thanks L8

I was thinking WSBK would be a much better fit for Stoner if he ever made a comeback. Reduced schedule, and they dont seem to bother too much with advertising and endless PR over there, just let the action on track do all the work for them. Its still a throwback to the older school of racing, less talk more action.

Totally agree with you CK, its only so long before the rest of the field not on the 4 Yam or Honda prototypes say '.... this, we have NO chance of doing well here, i'm off"

Performance bias (thats usually financially driven) will eventually kill any racing series, the series I race in is dying for the exact same reason: A few big money 'teams' have turned up and spending shitloads that none of the owner drivers can compete with and one by one they are moving away.

This is something I have been thinking about for a long time now. Motogp is indeed becoming increasingly vulnerable. All it takes is for one or two of the important riders to jump ship and they will loose out. They are also more at the mercy of the manufacturers than they realize. Less and less is keeping Honda and Yamaha from taking their toys and leaving. Ducati would probably be relieved to have a face-saving exit strategy. Stoner is probably too fed up with it all to consider SBK. Never say never though, maybe a Honda homologation special superbike...

.... you Ezy. You ...... this sport over so hard it will take a lot of luck to keep it from going .... up over the next years.

I think Casey is only fed up with Dornas ........ and not as much with racing. He is only 25 and for the most part injury free. He has at least 6 good racing years left in him.

Ill bet Stoner will be back sooner than expected... A dude can only stand so much time with his girl no matter how hot she is
