Should the likes of Checa get a penalty?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ Apr 28 2008, 11:33 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I don't know if you read the beggining of this topic but we spoke of the difficulties in decisions regarding on track incidents, such as the obvious and unavoidable use of discretion in each individual situation. What i put forward at the time is that increasing the strictness significantly (as many suggested was needed) would do nothing to eliminate this discretion and have large ramifications on the sport. I feel the balance of strictness used by the race stewards in the series' i watch is adequate, and have heard little to no reports from riders looking to increase the overall strictness due to safetey concerns.

Please tell me this post is a joke......loadsa words, says nothing..........

This is your reply for being a racist? Damn, its worse than I thought. You don't even see the contradiction, do you? And I'm suppose to carry a debate with a person like you? You're not an “abusive” person you say, you just think its ok for others to do the racist abusing. Or have you forgot what the big “fuss” was about in Spain for Hamilton.

Oh, as to your post about “some people” and what they think regarding penalties, be a man and call them out by name, so we can reply.

I suspect that you are in fact inteligent enough to read and understand basic sentances, so you know very well that i am not a racist, nor do i support racist abuse. I'm sure that wont stop you though so have fun with it if you must

As for not calling people by name, you should know what you think and if a comment applies to you. I'd rather keep the discussion open to as many members as possible

How is this for contradictory?

Tom, regarding the racial abuse sustained by Lewis Hamilton (a Black man):
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ Feb 16 2008, 03:11 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I don't really understand what all the fuss is about .....I think people should toughen up on all abuse, or get over it.

Ooops, did you say that?

Tom, regarding my scathing take on the banzai move of Cardenas that injured another rider:

It was certainly a hotheaded desperate lunge, and the door was never really open but Capirossi won a 250 title at Buenos Ares with a similar move, what about Rossi at Jerez? You have to feel for Neukerchner though.

Welcome to the forum.

I think Carlos Checa admitted as you describe "desperate lundge". The thing about it is he knew it was a desperate lundge but took the risk anyway, knowing it would not be reprimanded.

Looks like you've been watching the sport for a while, I remember that incident in Buenos Ares you speak of, wow, that was crazy.

Poor Neuker, that surely would have been his first win and a boost in championship standings. The .... is, his championship hopes (he was an actual contender) have been harmed from those two DNFs Checa's banzai crash caused. At least he had good pace in the last round at Assen.

There is nothing contradictory about disapproving of abuse. Unsurprisingly you missed out when i said:

I'm not sure you understand the word contradictory. You say you didn't understand what the fuss was about (suggesting its no big deal) but then go on to cover the other side and said you disapprove of it...

its useless Tom.

Curve is right, you can argue with a ......, but what prize do I get for winning if you still end up being the guy who debated a ......?

Back on topic: Checa admitted to a banzai move, the video backs up his confession, Max N. pays the consequence, nothing is done about it.
