Should Casey be punished

regardless of what happened that caused him to be taken out of the race he jumped over pit wall with the sole purpose to show vale his contempt. This put not only himself in danger but other riders on track. Spectators have no place on track side and i believe it is against the law. I also think HRC should face sanctions for there emotionally out of control employee's actions. This type of behaviour has no place in such a fast dangerous sport like motor racing. He should have stayed in his garage. What ever next?

please tell me you're not being serious

Freakin' Rossi boppers. Even when their man is at fault they still find a way to make the opposition look like the bad guy.

The law is the law and must be obeyed. It is not only against FIM rules it is illegal. I seem to remember a fan being prosecuted a while back for being trackside during a live race. Casey had left the track but then jumped over pit wall back on the racing line. If he were still trackside by his bike at the time rossi had completed another lap id give him a pass but he re-joined the track on foot from pit lane.

Look at the picture and note pedrosa flat-out racing as casey jumps over the wall. This could have distracted any rider in already difficult conditions causing a serious accident. The rules and laws are in place for a very good reason.

I agree stoner should be fined. Arrogant knob head. He's making himself more and more unpopular (if thats possible?) each race

yes, he, is, and that is a sign of a real TROLL & BOPPER, if i were the FIM id give whatever points
<
rossi got to stoner this guy is out of control
<
and hes going to cause somebody some serious injuries with his careless stupid aggressive riding...rossi is really out of control and sits on his brain!!! stoner would have .... this race in ..next time I wont make a prediction cauz i picked stoner first simo second and boofhead for third...

never mind there is always a next time and im sure stoner will put the boot into rossi next time and wont take it lying down after two incidents that were pretty bad and dangerous

Of course he should be punished, if he's not, what will happen the next time. What's to stop a rider who thinks he's been hard done by, running out on the track in the middle of the race and taking a rider out!
<
If you ask me that was wreckless endangerment on stoners part.

This is what Casey Stoner said to Valentino Rossi when the Italian apologised for taking the Australian out of the Spanish MotoGP after a botched overtake for second place on lap 8 of 27.

Rossi rejoined to finish fifth, while new Repsol Honda rider Stoner - who won from pole at round one in Qatar, and was on pole again at Jerez - was forced to retire.

Rossi went to find Stoner in the Repsol Honda pits after the race and they shook hands, then...

Stoner (smiling): “How's your shoulder? Is it okay?”

Rossi (helmet still on): “I'm very sorry.”

Stoner: “Okay. You have some problem with your shoulder?”

Rossi: “I make a mistake”

Stoner: “Yeah. Obviously your ambition outweighed your talent.”

Rossi: “Eh?”

Stoner: “Ambition is more than the talent.”

Rossi: “I'm very sorry.”

Stoner: “No problem.”

I don't think so, riders have been on the wrong side of the barries for various reasons before, it isn't like he was doing an edwards and standing on the track, chucking gravel about or doing a pasini/hopkins and having a fight with his own motorbike. Maybe someone will have a word with him to one side, but if they come down heavy and publicly they leave themselves open to a slippery slope of stupid penalties or obvious double standards

Yes, but he was in pit lane and jumped back over on to the track, that should not be ignored, Dani was riding past as he did it, could have put him off.

So if he'd stayed trackside of the barriers throughout you would not take an issue?

It is down to intent, if he had come off there, and was picking himself or parts of his bike up, then fine, however once a rider has come off, he should clear the track as soon as possible, either by getting back on his machine and riding on or being carried off.

Adriana took off running when Valentino went to apologize to Stoner. I thought that was funny.

bonnielass.... can I take you out for a cup of coffee? Oh wait your a Brit..... a cup of tea then?

So in keeping with how you feel about this incident you would agree that Hopper and Pasini both deserved penalties for staying trackside to take frustrations out on their bikes? Or that Edwards deserves a penalty for what he did at the nurburgring world superbike event all those years ago when he was deliberately interfering with the race?

I'm surpised Stona didn't kick Rossi in the head when he was on the ground

that would be worth a punishment

3k fine would pass as being sufficient

I think eack incident should be judged on it's own merits, stoners intent at this time was directed towards ROSSI and that is not acceptable.

Nicely done

Realistically we both know Stoner deserves a penalty for his actions today about as much as Rossi does. As in he doesn't

Biaggi and Rossi would have taken the cheap shot in this situation if they were taken out

Well done to Casey for not doing so.
