MV, I would be kidding myself if I didn't think that VR has a very real interest in how CS performs and no doubt, the reverse is also true which I put down to the hatred/dislike between the two.

Would he be focusing on CS, well if he were to do so then he should get his ... belted by the Yamaha team as he has a job to do and focusing on a rider who will not be competing against him next year on a different brand would be ludicrous.

But yes, I would expect him to view the times and want to beat CS - just as I suspect all of the riders want to beat him.

That all said, the other Ducati riders should be having questions asked.

2pm Local times. Rain has come - that's all folks. Quick times not going to get better even if the track starts to dry... Maybe testing wets... who's up for that? Loris?

Next time we r in Sepang it'll be a whole new surface... Hope Bib accounts for the changed coefficient of friction for October!

So for me...

Disappointments: Pol; Dovi; Smith

Pleasant surprises: Hector; Suzuki; satellite Ducs

Bring on PI!!

So much for Redding loving the Ducati. Dovi way down too. Pedrosa, Wtf

Surely Honda can't be happy with Rabats progress? To be honest I thought he was lucky to get a top GP ride and I got the feeling that Honda weren't that keen on him but Marc VDS pushed him. He's been beaten in lower classes by younger riders who arent doing that great in the GP.

I am impressed with Stoner's ability to adapt so quickly and set fast times. It really would be a shame if he doesn't end up replacing Dovi next year.

I think we can see why Marquez's chickenshit crew cockblocked his wildcard at Austin.

I'm sure if Casey would have treated this test as a .... measuring contest he would have finished 2nd today.

Well folks, put a fork on this test. When is the next time these dudes will be on track?

There was a guy here who was his mate ............ rode with him, designed his house or was his dentist or other.

Lets see if he comes in and lets us know what Tito's issues were

:D

Track is virtually dry according to some reports. Pedrosa is currently out lapping but the Yamaha's are still firmly in the pits.

Gigi D'allignia has also confirmed that Stoner will NOT be riding in the next official test at Phillip Island. Shame, I'd have liked to see that.

Oh yes, good old harryjones05...he's probably sunning himself on a beach right now....or so he'd like us to believe.

Shame as they may have missed a great publicity opportunity with it being Australia, but also understandable given the results so far in this test and the potential 'damage' that could be done to the factory riders and by extension the factory were he to again be top Ducati.

Or if we really want conspiracy .............. perhaps DORNA asked that he not attend in case he outperforms the other riders - I mean, they would not want a test to end with a rider not in the championship top bike would they ?

Lorenzo has broken the 2 minute barrier, 0.590s clear of Rossi. Pedrosa has improved to 5th, just a tenth shy of Marquez. Also Laverty has completed 17 laps, so that's good news for him.

my thought exactly, since the decision was made quiet quickly, they probably felt that their riders are uncomfortable(during the whole testing sessions) in someway and didnt want to damage their confidence more, which is quiet telling about how insecure they are, i mean ffs this is just testing and practice, they have a full season in front of them(AI & Dovi), there are much more important things to focus right now than lap time. but they figured as long as stoner is on the track they keep checking the time sheet and forget about their main job.(if this is the case then they are gonna have problems during the season too).

Lorenzo has just done a 1m 59.595! That puts him almost a second clear of anyone else. As Jums said, he better wind his neck in a bit otherwise there might be a rule change coming about ;)

Looking at the results though, I get the impression that Ianonne is watching and learning as he is close enough to Stoner but I suspect that the issues may be elsewhere
