Satellite Honda's

When are they gonna get the new chasis, it was ok for a couple races but isn't it about time now... its a bit unfair.

I think that they are afraid that Dovi might beat Pedrosa too.

The new chassis would need the new engine with it, and probably new electronic packages. The deal at the start of the year was for the satellite teams to run 07 bikes all year, i expect Honda to stick to that unless they sort Dovi out early.

Next season, absent any noteworthy change of direction.

that's the cold reality of running a satellite team.

Boy isn't that the truth. Plus that is also why I think they want him on the factory squad so they can make his bike how THEY want instead of how the rival team wants. Keep your enemies close as they say.

Are you guys having a bit of a laugh or you actually think that HRC want to hire a good rider to sabotage them for the benefit of another rider?

Can't see them getting anything this year. They have only just started getting the bike sorted now. I can't remember the last time HRC got a bike so wrong. If you aren't attached to any of the riders it's actually pretty amusing to see Honda making such a meal of the this season and the last.

Thx Tom.. so we won't see HRC bike will be moved to the satellite team very soon...
maybe until the end of the year.

Dani has the new chassis. In fact he was the first to get it, and he isn't using the new pneumatic valve engine. Therefore there is no excuse why Honda does not give Dovi, De Puniet & the 2 Gresini riders the new chassis. Well except the fact that they don't give a fat rats about their satellite teams.

Totally agree with 2007 though, that would have been quite amusing had I not been a Hayden, Melandri and KRJR fan.
Ok, I may have sniggered a little and then bemoaned the loss of 990s.


Other than that, last year the sattelite teams really suffered because of the crappy bike but this year things aren't moving along fast either. I think Hayden only got Dani's chassis at Donnie? which says a lot about the speed of development.

The 08 chassis requires an 08 engine with different mounting points. Dani has 07 cylinder heads on but the rest of the engine is different.

If the HRC Honda is not as good as the others how come do you expect the satellite ones to be good? It's gonna be a tough year for Honda clients.

Did I read somewhere that Hayden just recently (Donington?) discover that there were two 08 chassis? That Pedrosa had been running a chassis that wasn't available to him until he twisted HRC's arm and got the pneumo? Or am I hallucinating?

The 08 chassis has always been using an 08 engine, but with the spring valve head on it is often reffered to as an 07 engine.

Dani got a new chassis in Catalunya and Nicky was not told, but when he asked he was supplied the chassis for the next race.

Well i read the interview with him and he said he wasn't happy to not be told about the chassis but he also said he understood the way motogp works when he arrived here.
