Ah, because when it was the utopia Kesh wanted this forum was at its most lively? Kesh is soley responsible for the attempted grenading of the forum, he is the "lord" you speak of. Seriously Migs, you can keep repeating the lie that Kesh claimed, this place was a ghost town when it was the ONLY members Kesh approved of, it became filled with activity inspite of him; but then Kesh started to lash out for control to get it back to the ghost town. Have you considered, Maybe if Kesh got banned this place would pick up again?

I dont think Kesh has been approving or disapproving members.....how did he get that power? Or is it you think Kesh has driven members away like Krop? maybe Krop was driven off by others that didnt approve of his views, articles, etc...?
Either way, if more of us stuck to talking about racing then more of those many new members that joined in this season would post more...

The place is interesting only if different and opposing views can confront each other. If one stream of opinion only becomes dominant, then it dies down. This includes your honorable views of course, Sir -- deja vu actually...

Speaking of banning someone only because they had an argument with you or a couple of others goes precisely in that wrong direction (besides being dangerous nonsense if one cares for a healthy forum). And here goes the inevitable emoticon

You know this .... is why I left in the first place. There was an argument one side took it way too far. Ironically or actually probably not the same person was the one who took it to far. Now I didn't say god damn thing until that matter was brought back up. And that is when this side was pushed over a point of no return. If there was ever a moment when someone was guilty of anything that was the moment. If anyone deserves a ban for anything that happened it was that. That is why it escalated. Keshav if you are even remotely a man you set up and say that yes this is wrong. Sure JK is a lot of things and you probably hate the man, but he didn't cause any of this what so ever. But you won't because we know the kind of person you are.

Migs, I agree that if we concentrated on racing we 'might. not get to this pont, but even in pure racing discussions WE engage in dart throwing as part of the "racing" discussions. Revisit the "racing" discussion between Kesh and others regarding VRs stint at Ducati, I guess it's ok for Kesh to engage in dart throwing and smug dig; but objects to others doing it. Honestly migs, are u fine with this double standard? Krops left (well actually he came back, might leave again I guess) because he couldn't handle being challenged on RACING opinions. So much for the theory that sticking to racing discussions will cure the forum, eh? We tried it, then he started to dismiss everything as conspiracy, sound familiar? Btw he engaged in plenty of darts himself, or did u miss those? He bans people on his site for expressing RACING opinions that dont conform FACT. Very different to Kesh, who hasnt left anyway. Kesh claimed to be interested in talking racing, here is an assignment migs, tally up the posts by Kesh under two columns, one for racing posts the other chastising posts, see which tally is more. I did this last month and laughed how lobsided the tally was for him. The numbers dont lie migs.

Dr. No, (migs and Jrno) Keshav is a cancer to all forums. If you noticed, he's been the common denominator in spats going back several years. I think it has to do with this grand illusion that he is the gate keeper of forum civility (all the while being uncivilized). Did you read here what .... he talked about Roger? Basically saying he didn't behave on the forum. This dates back 4-5 years, he has been saying the exact same thing about others throughout the years. People who don't conform to his grand delusion become his targets! No no not about racing but rather his very own idea of forum etiquette. I wonder what in his mind he thought would be the result of such exchanges. The rich part is that he hounds people "to behave" employing vitriolic speech, or did u guys miss the pages ang pages of it? You can't be fuking serious. When I looked at this site a year ago, you were practically the only poster. Sure, there were a couple other know nothing Rossi sycophants chirping in unison but this forum was dead and flat on it's ....

You have the thinnest skin of all. You've always had lots to say.....right up until you're challenged then you disappear. I don't personally care to get into a multi page debate about anything here but I find the banter enjoyable. I also understand that fundamentally, the idea of this space is to debate, not to have your personal feelings affirmed and unchallenged. You seem to only like the later.

He sent me a text saying he was banned again. He was given no reason why just banned. We can only speculate that he said something that was over the line as he was not the instigator for either side of this fight. To the moderators, you have to at least give a reason why a person is banned. How can you correct an action if we don't know what was over the line? This is the same thing that happen last time. .... got way out of hand whoever is the actual mod sat with his popcorn and watched it all go down and then dropped the ban hammer. When we all asked what was the reasoning we got not response at all. Same thing we are getting this time.

+1. Here's the thing. I don't agree with many of the things he posts. I disagree with Jum about 80% of the time. But what else is this for but to disagree and and argue against? If we're not going to argue then why else would this space be useful? The other thing that I remind myself about frequently here is that I've met many of the posters here. My perception of who and what they are/were changed dramatically after spending time.

There are some genuinely fantastic people participating here. The differences evaporate in the first 5 minutes of time spent face to face. Nothing will kill this forum faster than banning members for being boisterous. Offensive is relative. Warnings abut behavior may be needed from time to time. Banning is just foolishness. Most of the time it will only undermine free speech, not encourage it.

Freewheeling threads are the way to go. If they start getting out of hand or over the edge....even better.
Umm, let me rephrase.
Surely a mod can post a warning? They don't need to justfy themselves, just give a heads up that an edge is being approached.

I'm on several other forums. A Ducati forum, an Audi forum and a few aviation forums. All are moderated by several accountable members. Warning are made publicly and members who don't alter their behavior are given some time off. There's no reason the mods here can't do something similar. Banning is counter productive for a number of reasons.

Johnny K has been the same guy from start to finish. It's not like he reinvented himself and turned boisterous without warning. Banning him after all these years gives the appearance that the mods have colluded with a small number of members to quiet someone who they've been unable to otherwise sway. And now we hear nothing from the obvious collaborators. That's galactically WEAK!

I enjoy reading some the debates as well...but once the 'debate' breaks down into the usual conspiracy or 'i am always right and everyone else is wrong' bullocks... i stop paying attention to the discussion....such discussions become a waste of time....
