Again... a ridiculous accusation. At what point did I try to moderate this thread? I re-read the entire thread earlier and can't find anything that vaguely supports such an accusation. I criticized Jum for unwarranted negativity in that he still holds an old personal grudge - which overrides his capacity to respond in an objective manner. Pointing this out doesn't qualify as "moderation". It's just an observation - regarding the motivation for the personal nature of his insults and overblown polemics and why there's no merit to his espoused outrage over things I've said. He doesn't really care about what I said. He just wants to present some ham-fisted, baseless rational for acting like such a .... - so everyone will support his point of view. And it hasn't worked. People aren't really that gullible. Jum has a history of going postal here and writing 5000 word dissertations for the purpose of vilifying people who disagree with him, and then later - he gets all contrite and apologizes - until he suffers a memory loss and does the same thing all over again. Old timers here have been through the wringer with this enough that they stop paying much attention to it. Those who've suffered the brunt of his abuse understand - he just can't help himself. I think of him as the grumpy grandfather who gets drunk at the Thanksgiving dinner and mutters about politics and falls asleep at the table, and doesn't remember what he did the following day. Everybody knows he's harmless and let it ride, because after all he's charming when he's sober and besides, he's family.

I bet the season ends before this thread does.

Again - patent nonsense. Roger eliminated himself by behaving by way of his alienating various members not limited to myself with overbearing mean-drunk abuse and constant spurious accusations that I and other called him on. I still don't know the truth of the matter re: why he left. Not sure if he just couldn't stand up to truth and was too ashamed to show his face after the ........ he pulled - or if the forum moderators banned him for being his unwarranted ugly abuse of of the members. If the latter is the case - it had nothing to do with me. I've been asked a few times by moderators if so-and-so should be banned and I've always said absolutely not.

Mind you if Roger had succeeded in his mission to utterly alienate me so I would leave the forum - nobody would have said a thing. Double standard as usual.

And to be clear Roger's main complaint against me was that he had a deep-seated hatred and distrust of anyone who didn't get blind drunk; so for that crime he tried his best to persecute me. Oh yeah... and he hated me for being a fan of Stoner and for calling his hero Rossi out on a lot of his ........ as well because he was an inveterate Bopper. That and he hated all the Aussies here with whom I got along with so well.

Kesh the cognitive dissonance you engage in is amazing.

I feel bad for you that you're such a shallow, spineless person, that you cannot understand that it is perfectly acceptable to admit fault. But, maybe you've been influenced by MM's thought processing abilities, and figure if he can blame and make excuses for everything, maybe you should too.

Well, in fairness to Bernie (yes I am actually typing that) he is doing exactly what has been asked of him by CVC. His only job is to make the most money for them on a yearly basis, and CVC will just bleed F1 dry till their is nothing left hopefully. Private equity firms are a cancer, and they behave just like a cancer. I think a lot of the hate should be directed at CVC since they are the one's driving this era of mediocrity in F1.

I've no doubt Carmelo loves what Bernie has done because he just tries to copy the "best" aspects of it.

Don't feel bad for me. I'm happy as a clam. As I said before I manage to interact with 99% of the PS members in a convivial fashion without all the ad hominem attacks and insults. The fact that all the hostility and insults are coming from the two tin-foil conspiracy guys who always are in a state of fury over some alleged unfair practice by some sports governing authority is very telling. It tells me that anger and distrust are your most notable character traits - hence I can expect that from time-to-time it will focus on who or whatever happens to come into your line of sight. So I try not to take it too personal. If you were a more emotionally balanced person - you would have dropped this thing ages ago. But it seems you and Jum are convinced that if you throw enough logical fallacies my way that you will somehow prevail by creating the illusion of presenting a critique based in reality.

Cognitive dissonance is in the eye of the beholder. Nobody here supports your supposition except for Jumkie and the two muppets. And since both you and Jum are totally lacking in objectivity - nobody but yourselves gives the least credence to your diagnosis. Maybe you need to look in the mirror and ask yourself if you indeed have a grasp on reality. If not don't worry too much. You may yet succeed in life. Phillip K. .... had a great career despite his schizophrenia and paranoia.

I hadn't really considered CVC and Bernie to be separate entities, it would appear correctly now that I have looked it up. I gather he sold his interest in F1 to CVC and in turn now has an (undisclosed) share in CVC.

At least CVC are actually merchant bankers or whatever, and like sharks do what they do concerning which only the very naive would have any illusions. Bernie started as a motor racing guy. I still can't believe that race would have been run in a typhoon in the first place had their been any competent independent supervisory body, regardless of how conditions may have been flagged when they did occur.

Kesh, the defender of forum civility and housekeeper of freeing threads of unnecessary spats. What would Poserslide look like if we didn't have a champion against flame wars? A true superhero that keeps us on racing topics and model of friendliness, modesty, and respect. Without him, Poserslide would be void of civility.

Jum - the guy who offers a truce only to come back 10 minutes later with insults, pot-kettle hypocrisy guaranteed to drag out the flame war even further. Your offers of truce are a joke.

Bare in mind that what was merely an intense (but civil) dialog only really became nasty and filled with personal insults when Jum fanned the flames. What was an amicable disagreement only got unpleasant when Jum jumped in and encouraged JP to make it a personal vendetta. If you really valued civility you wouldn't continue to make these attacks.
