Parish is a goose anyway, sideshow bob these days at best........
I think the issues in Ducati are, certainly after Jerez, within the Team dynamic. Something is amiss in the whole garage, the bike is not great sure, Rossi is not suited to it, yes, but that doesn't really adequately explain a Q time of 3.5 seconds off the mark for these guys- well slower than what the same bunch managed during the race 7 years ago under similar conditions at the same track.
IMO they were playing with electronics too much during Jerez QP to try to sort out the understeer and power delivery, which bit them on the ... again.....I think they are all trying to prove that they can fix the fundamental flaws of the bike by somehow reverse engineering it with set-up to suit Rossi's requirements. And everytime they experiment it costs them dearly, all of their knowledge, success and combined egos are working against them with this bike, whereas Nickys boys are playing it much more conservatively-yet still not doing too much better anyway......Parish can attempt to rubbish Rossi and his commitment, but you certainly can't fault Nickys efforts-which only got him a few seconds quicker in the race anyway.......back to the drawing board again Prezi.......
all of the talk of renewed hope for improvement due to settings from Rossi, is unfortunately IMO just more spin, they are lost-Ducati are lost and have yet to find the talent within their engineers to come up with adequate solutions, Rossi battling with Barbera and both Factory bikes being whipped by the rookie Bradl on Sat bike means that Ducati are two years behind-and Rossi is actively seeking another ride, where there's smoke-there's fire.......
