He'll be back, possibly not as World Champion though (losing out to Hayden), but definately a 2nd place.

We saw at Catalunya 2006 that your bad luck in the championship can switch through one corner. (Big contender names retired and got badly injured in that race). That could happen to anyone of the three riders at the top yet.

It`d be funny if Hayden took the Number 46 instead of number 1 plate next year to piss Rossi off
<

I've bee nseeing the number 46 everywhere recently, on the time, on bikes, and other stuff.

could he do that? i mean there is a reason why they offer the #1 plate .... but to take another riders number? hmmm
<
i didnt think they would allow it

but it does..... u better get use to it.

& u should'nt. writing him off as losing the championship already is a mistake. i think it'll be real tough for him to win it. but never say never. especially when it comes to rossi! doubt at ur own peril!.... i still hope nick can win it tho!

im entitled to my view....

if your hapy with a racer who gets consistent 2nds and thrds throughout the season to win it....when years befre it has been done with consstent first places... then cool....thats up to you....

and also.....ive had plenty of time to 'get used to it' as you put it...from being a little girl watching bsb,wsb to the present and loving every minuite of all of them...moto gp included....

emzotyo i know how ya feel...i've said it before about Nick, or any ryder for that matter....

"if you wanna be the man, you've got to beat the man"

.....and no-one has yet, Nick has this thing in the bag if he stays safe, and the tracks that are left are all strong for him...only way Rossi can pull this off is gonna be if Nick ..... up and finds some kitty litter...twice maybe hehe

NOW...i like Nick, i like any person that can do what these guys can do on a bike..(YES EVEN DANI!)...he will likely be the champion, but people will talk .... cause he might have beat Rossi in the Championship, but he hasn't beaten Rossi....

ANYHOW Moto GP rocks no other sport can compare all else is for girls..

I think that there is one thing everyone is forgetting here. Rossi is human....a far superior rider than any other on the grid as far as raw talent and ability imo. He has proved on countless occasions that he is best when the odds are against him.
Statistically as I see it, the odds are actually against Hayden if you all think about it.....don't get me wrong...if Rossi isn't champ due to his ...... luck this year then Hayden would be my second choice and I think Rossi will congratulate him on being so consistent. Keep in mind though for Hayden, it is a lot harder to keep up his pace than it is to make one mistake and get hurt.
As much as we all say that Rossi's luck this year is just "racing"...that's true, but I think we can all agree that he's had his more than fair share of .... luck this season.......knocked down, tire failure, motor failure, broken hand, motor failure.....and from each setback he comes back like a lion, like the champion that he is...........the 06 bike is just not as reliable as the 05......its just my speculation and a lot of experience watching these guys.....no other rider on the grid would or could do what he's done. This year he's been dealt a shitbag hand and yet after each hand, he pulls out a flush.....

with the exception of motegi. & he's never done much at estoril for that matter.

for me it has nothing to do with being happy about nick or any other racer finishing were they do. i pull for my favorites of course, but if they struggle, well there's naught i can do about it. for me it's about the racing as a whole. all of them or as many as possible duke in it out on the track. passin, bangin bars, & gettin on with it. the whole spectacle is what it's all about!

Hayden took third at Motegi in 2003 and the same at Estoril in 2004. In 2005 he took ninth at a wet Estoril circuit and a seventh at Motegi thanks in part to Rossi and Melandri DNFing. It will be interesting to see how strong he is there this year.

hayden did not compete in estoril in 04 Ooost. he was nursing his supermotard mishap (collarbone, knee). he got 3rd in motegi after the the tamada-gibernau incedent. he was lucky there. still 3rd but lucky.

no worries.... i do it all the time!

All i can say is..... BOOK YA TICKETS FOR VALENCIA cause anyone in that top 4 can win it! all it takes is a few guys to fall off! Everyone knows rossi could win all up coming races. Only 50 points separates them!

One thing for sure is that the remainder of the season will be fantastic....
