Think. If Yamaha wanted to favor Rossi, they would never have signed Lorenzo for just one year. That move actually means putting Rossi on the grill, more than anything else. If they wanted to secure a young talent, they should have signed him for 3 years or nothing--one year does not make sense, other than giving Lorenzo a real chance to fight it out and see what happens...

Yammy ain't doin' anything. There is no way Jorge or his manager would have signed anything longer than one year with the cash on offer... Yammy took what they could get (1 year).
