Hey guys!

I was very happy about the last race at Indy since it gives hope for the championship! I know its a tall order from Lorenzo, but the guy has proven he has the balls, 25 pts behind the "GOAT" himself, Rossi...

I want to hear your guys predictions on the next five races, (between Rossi and Lorenzo), I know there are many Rossi fans here, and rightly so, me being one of them, but do you guys think Lorenzo has a shot? What does he need to change or more accurately, what kind of plan must Lorenzo implement to be successful against Rossi to clinch the 2009 crown? We seen Rossi always get the better of his competitors for the most part, but is Lorenzo different, I sure think so! Tell me what you guys think the kryptonite for Rossi is? The +/-'s of each of these two talented riders... since even Rossi himself is not perfect... (though pretty damn close)... Cheers, and enjoy the rest of the action!

Rossi will prevail down the stretch although I'd love to see JL take it..................would be great for the sport!

In the end, Rossi gets it done.

I don't know how you can bet against Rossi. I know Jorge is fast as hell but he still needs to maintain a level of consistancy. Ha, all this on the tail end of Valentino making an uncharacteristic fall last weekend. However if you just look at it from the standpoint of experience and understanding of how to win a major title, Vale' gets the nod.

Unfortunately Rossi will be the champ this year. After Indy he is going to come with his a game for the remainder of the season. unless his bike takes a crap or he goes down 2 more times Jorge cant win it! Hopefully Im Wrong

If Rossi want to be the champion, it must be at the last round, Valencia?. Not now, not in Phillips Island or Sepang. It will be good for Moto GP, DORNA, the championship and for the fans..

Me think and hope Lorenzo will be more matured and do stupid things. Better 2nd than crash.

For Jorge to win it Rossi will have to bin it... No Rossi DNF in last races no championship for Jorge.

I think if Lorenzo can get within 10 points of Rossi going into the last race at Valencia he has real shot as its not one of Rossi's favourites & he has fell there before.

I think if Vale can beat Jorge in Misano, Philip Island & Sepang the title is his. Estoril is a good track for both of them & Valencia is a bit Pedrosa Country.

I also agree Rossi will probably take it, but if Lorenzo can learn from his previous mistakes this year, and really focus on the remaining five races, he has at least a shot, The game plan for him will be to probably finish a position ahead of Rossi every race... Thats really his only chance... and maybe a bit of luck! Hayden 06 cough... You never know with MotoGP, its been a crazy season so far, I wish Lorenzo all the best, and next race (luckily this weekend!) will tell us on what form Lorenzo is on, and more importantly, what Rossi can do...

rossi to take it. pedrosa and possibly stoner will be taking points away from one or the other of them as well so jorge will not be able to claw it back IMO.

I think if JLo wants to take another big chunk of points away from Vale. This weekends GP is his best shot. No other GP for the rest of the season will see Vale so pressured to win. If he can put the pressure on Vale. He can hope for a mistake and another DNF...But I still think Vale will take it by the end of the season.

That can work the other way too, with the possibility (if not the likelihood) that at least pedrosa can finish ahead of rossi if george wins. In this situation last year stoner had to win every race given that even if he managed to win rossi was extremely likely to finish second. Valentino will win this year as well though, and two riding errors is above his usual quotient for a year.

yes. it can work for jorge as well but like you say, thats less likely to happen. i do believe that rossis' bad luck quota is now used up and it will be relatively plain sailing to clinch the championship (again!)

I can see the odds are all in favor of Valentino. So...
Rossi to bet 1 zillion dollars against himself, then bin it again at Valencia and become even richer, good tax-free money--just as in 2006
<

Then stage a dramatic comeback in 2010 and win against all odds...

I'm just fucken amazed that no-one has suggested that Yamaha won't let Lorenzo win it...
