While you are asking for apologies, are you ever going to apologize for saying nothing exceptional was being developed at Ducati for Rossi?

Hangovers again? Even with links to my posts, you did not read them? Jum, when they were not doing anything exceptional, I stated they were not doing it. When they did, I said they were doing it. WTFDYW?

I don't disagree with you in principle there, as I've said the same thing. Its a Rossi-centric media. But honestly, I think if Randy was getting false neutrals, it would have been at very least reported by his team in the press releases. But sure, I get what you are saying, if Rossi gets a finger nail broken its front page news a gpone. haha. In his defense, he's had a large fan base, and loved by more than all the other riders combined currently.

You may have read my very long (1.) Hayden apologias, in some I mention its too bad that the other riders who have dedicated their lives get so easily overlooked. But we are all to blame partly. I mean, look, I's see peeps slag off Capirossi, a man who's went from bad (Suzuki) to worse (Ducati). (2.)Yet, he's the washed up old man, right? Well that washed up old man would probably be midpack tomorrow on a factory Honda Yamaha bike (certainly not last). Its this kind of assessment that allows the media to focus on the darling winning without the analysis of the machine under him. As I said earlier last week, I've read a rash of "what's wrong with Ducati" this year, but I don't recall reading so many "what's wrong with Suzuki". Why? Because the riders of those other brands are not as important as the one guy now riding Ducati. It sucks. But its true. (3.) Its not Rossi's fault that they want to write about him.

1. I agree with them, motogp is too heavily eurocentric. Develop the bikes around a US style, watch the euro's struggle just like Hayden is now on minibikes. I liked McCoy, same thing.

2. Understood. Just like Checa and Biaggi are washed up.

3. No, thats my fault because I enjoy reading about him and bitching on PS.

You should write for MCN Barry...it clearly doesnt say that! Its says the piece of .... Ducati makes Rossi look ordinary(when he clearly isnt).

Context is everything and Spooky is correct....he obviously implies he IS NOT an ordinary rider - the Duke just makes it SEEM that way as can be seen in the context of the whole paragraph.......

Carlo Pernat admitted - I think we owe an apology to this rider (Stoner). We often said that he was very fast, but weak mentally. But now, looking at what's going on at Ducati, this was the source of his problems. His issues were tied to those of the Ducati. And, in spite of that, he still won a championship."

"Today that same bike is making Valentino look like an ordinary rider."

It is great to hear people finally crediting Stoner for his performances on the Duke and I applaud those who admit they were wrong in their assesment of his talents

Defo, the guy is a legend in the making. In the same way though it annoys me how some people discredit Rossi's achievements thus far. Its to be expected, just a bit annoying - as it has been for you Stoner fans

Yeah Yeah, Rossi is an ordinary rider. So what does that make Stoner in 08 and 09 when he got handed his arse by Rossi?

Seriously, some folk on here need to understand that all the greetin and bitchin, isn't going to change history. Sorry you just have to suck it up.

My opinion is still that going to the Ducati at this stage in his career was a mistake for Rossi, he's not going to risk injury now by overiding the Duc, and his pride made him leave Yamaha. Not a good situation.

It's really insulting to the likes of Biaggi, Hayden et al, the crap that is spouted on here about how Rossi never had any competition. It's also insulting to Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Stoner who Rossi defeated in 08 and 09.

The blinkered outlook of the Stoner groupies on here is laughable, and the "you just say that coz Rossi isn't winning" crap is sooo boring. I'm a Rossi fan, and have been since 125s, before that I was a massive Doohan fan. I quite happily said last year that whether or not Rossi was injured last year, Lorenzo would have taken the title. Really blinkered that I was happy to see Rossi's team mate take the title eh? And there is no doubt that Stoner is going to deserve the title this year, all things staying in his favour.

There's the difference, most Rossi fans I know have nothing but respect for Stoner's riding ability, or Lorenzo's. OK, I'll admit, I think Pedrosa is fast as ...., but yet to see him really showing "racecraft", he can win from the front, but once he's been passed, the fight goes.

As I've said before, it's Stoner's greetin and skirtin when things don't go his way that puts folk off. Not his ability to ride a bike faster than Rossi.

Sadly, the folk who dissagree with this struggle with basic comprehension, so I have nae doubt I'll be accused of saying Stoner is ....., bein in the huff coz Rossi is struggling, an being gay for not posting love poems to Casey.

This place has a history of a lot of piss taking and banter, but these days, we seem to be attracting folk with niether the intelligence or maturity to understand this. Plenty of on here have said loadsa outragous stuff, but it's almost always tongue in cheek. Me an Jumk used to slag the hell out of each other here, but I'm proud to call the guy a mate and look forward to meeting up with him again.

Holy crap it's just a sport, I come on here for the craic then go back to my real life.

Peace oot

Cracking post! So true...for every decent poster on this forum there are 10 twats who's hate for 1 rider or another dominate their miniscule wee minds. Sometimes they try to pass off their daft wee posts as a 'wind up' but those with half a brain in their noggen know the score.

Like someone said the other day, whilst the racing may be boring the level of talent on the grid is second to none. I just wish the Ducati wasnt so ..... and that Rossi was up there mixing it where he should be.

I would have thought the opposite - but rest assured if you do start posting love poems about Casey the accusations will soon follow

Gee thats taking it a bit far ....... I just said he was ordinary ........ where's the hate in that? Its probably why I would never idolize him, but its a long way from hate ..........

gee ....... when I think of it I don't have a poster of Rossi at all ...... perhaps I'm more of a hater than I realize

'wind up' ??

'wind up' ??

Hardly any need for that ........ I think you, Pete, Talps and Nino get wound up if I spell Risso wrong

I make no excuses, I have always felt Rossi was an ordinary rider. As Pernat suggests he is in the same league as Hayden, Melandri, Capi etc. Perhaps one should wonder how those guys would have gone on the same package as Rossi?

Hayden was on the same Repsol Honda as Rossi and got his ... handed to him, Melandri was on a Honda 990 (arguably the best bike ever built) and got his ... handed to him while Rossi was on the M1, though he did finish 2nd to Rossi overall. Capi was rapid on the Ducati 990 but still got beaten fair and square. So what exactly is your point Barry? If thats the way you look at riders ability would you agree that Stoner was 'ordinary' in 2009-2010? I didnt think so....

I don't get wound up, I just find it sad that you genuinely may think you have a clue what you are talking about.

Bless, nice when they try isn't it!
