Do you know anything about him? if he is good for motogp or not?

but good that they brought someone in, before Motogp start with less than 15.

I hope he is good enough to cover a bit of the empty space which is left by the absence of 2 and sometimes 3 aliens.

to answer your question, i have to rely on twitter and what i've been reading about him so far
<
as i haven't heard anything about this man until now

1. Just had really good idea for a TwitGP joke, where the best rider in the world gets replaced by a 41 year old. Bit too absurd for us though.

2. Who can forget Yoshikawa's '02 wildcard ride in Motegi when he came a scintillating, er, 12th? What's that? Everyone?

3. Not saying Yoshikawa is slow, but he WAS overtaken by a glacier during Sepang test. 4 seconds off the pace! What was he doing? Sightseeing?

4. News Update: Bridgestone Reveal Mystery Lack of Tyre Wear on Yoshikawa M1. 'Is he amazingly smooth or incredibly slow? You do the math'.

5. Not saying Yoshi is slow, but Toseland doesn't look like such a bad shout now.

6. Not saying Yoshi is slow, but, well, oh ok, we are saying he's slow.

7. You think this tennis match is taking a long time? Wait til Yoshikawa does a warm up lap.

so okay, i was laughing at these posts...but really, haven't heard anything about him.

Thanks for the info.

after i asked you i read here that he is 41, and that was enough to know about his quality.

I wished a better rider was comming in, but atm Yamaha dont want someone who can take points off Lorenzo and that's understandable, however for Horhay it wouldn't make any difference, he is at the top of his form and he will be much better than anyone who would replace Rossi.

The world according to Wiki.....

As he is their test rider I guess he was the obvious choice, he's already familiar with the bike. I don't think Yam have put him there to win, they just have contractual obligations to the sponsors.

Do you think that FIAT is happy with the decision? I think that YAM was fullfilling their contractual obligations to Dorna.

Yes I think they are happy, they don't want someone on the bike that wants to start changing things to suit themselves, which any racer would do, they want someone who will just jump on the bike and ride it, they don't want anyone destroying any engines unnessarily and they don't want any 'top secret' info getting out to another team even if it is another Yam team. So I think picking the test rider was the best choice.
