No but when we see a rider fall then get up holding his arm we can assume the worst. Stoners was unique in that it was not an injury. The diagnosis that eventually came was weird in that lactose intolerance does not happen quickly but happens over a period of time. Also the anonymous doctor that diagnosed it when all other had failed. We have already established in another thread how good the doctors are that are made available to these sportsmen.

Next time you get sick as a dog and can't get out of bed, send me the x-ray that proves you are sick.

Come on compa, are broken bones and MRI's of soft tissue damage the only health problems you can believe because? We were comparing the difference in people believing Stoner's illness with Rossi's shoulder, remember. You 'chose' to believe one but not the other, yet the evidence that you have for both is remarkably the same. Infact, I haven't heard that much technical specifics of Rossi's shoulder except him telling us he injured it. It wasn't until GP was originally to go to Motegi did we hear much about it. We then started to hear about it periodically, and now, its quiet constant. Again, the similarity of Stoner's and Rossi's potential season ending sabbatical is remarkably similar. But according to you Stoner's is shrouded in mystery and suspect because you don't have proof positive?

Bottom line, answer this, do you believe Stoner was lying about his illness and its severity, yes or no? If the answer is no, the argument ends. If you say yes, then you need to produce the MRI scan of Rossi's shoulder.

What this thread certainly points out is how ugly some Motogp fans really are. Truer colours reflected with what should be seen as glorious racing from the bygone era on Sunday The hating here really represents how damaged some are mentally......

I can't believe people are still discussing Stoner's lactose intolerance. These things exist, they can be serious ailments and they do affect some individuals more than others (meaning i if you drink a gallon of milk and feel fine and go out axing trees in the jungle, that doesn't mean you are a great man and Stoner is a .....!).
<

Proof is that Stoner has been healthy since he started the (for him) correct diet, and he's still one of the fastest (if not "the" fastest) riders of the planet.

There are still quite a lot who thought there was nothing wrong with him except in need of a few sleeps and fishing. That doesn't make double standards as we know there is something physically wrong with Rossi (or we find it more believable).

There didn't seem to be much wrong with Rossi last weekend, just excuses.

Yes, i totally agree, there are mentally damaged irrational fans here. ^

It's not a case of whether i believe. I have repeatedly asked 2 questions in this thread. no one has attempted to answer them or point me to some reading that might

Maybe its more to do with the fact that stoner is a notorious excuse maker in almost every scenario.....

Its always the bike, the team, the track, the tyres, the oppositions fault....when things dont go well. I remember the "Demon late breakers" comment which really was silly.....almost suggesting that its their fault for breaking late, that he dropped his machine.

Very rare he gives anyone any props, and a lot of people have commented on the way he makes excuses, over the past few years.

Maybe after all the ott demonstrating with the scaphoid(not questioning the injury), people just found it hard to believe that a sudden mystery illness was legit.

Like already said though, nothing is proven....but one from the outside looking in, looks more believable than the other. For what its worth.

You judge people on what you see on AND off the track......attitude is important.

The bopper excuse is convenient because its a way of ignoring a fair opinion.

I agree, Stoner's illness had a much more obvious and noticable effect on his results, his riding and his appearance. Rossi's shoulder injury is based entirely what he and his people tell us is happening
