I have no doubt Rossi has the goods. The goods, in my opinion live between the ears. At no stage did Rossi take any responsibility for his performance on the Ducati. It was, in Rossi's opinion, 100% the bikes fault. Therefore his ego and belief in his own god like status is intact.
As far as the bike is concerned in my opinion there is no discussion about which bike is better. The Yamaha is clearly the better bike. I think it is hampered by the level of electronic control Lorenzo runs but I doubt Rossi will run it with so much intervention which will allow him to get the extra tenths out of it like the Honda guys had to by riding with their balls. Lorenzo does not ride with his balls at all. He rides the bike at the limit of the electronics. The Yamaha under human control is faster than that and Rossi will show that in 2013. He won't beat Lorenzo when the electronic sweet spot is hit but all the other times he will.
I think both Lorenzo and Pedrosa will suffer when it comes to having to "race" Rossi. They can out time trial him but I don't think they can out race him. I suspect we will see plenty of Laguna 08 style of tactics from Rossi in 2013 to prevent them from out time trialling him.
I might even have to be a bopper in 2013 because Lorenzo's style bores the .... out of me. I can't support Pedrosa (even though I sorta like him) out of respect for Jumkie. And Marquez, well you have all read my opinion on that silver spoon up his arse, cheating little ..... So I guess that leaves me as a Bopper. I might just split myself between Rossi and Ianone.

So Mental Anrachist, let's be sure we understand you, you're not a fan of Marquez? You didn't really make that part clear

good post mental, agree with most.
i too suspect that lorenzo relies as much on electronics as anybody else in the field, but everything he doesn't show (can't say he lacks it if i don't know) with his right wrist , he more than makes up on the brakes and with robot like consistency

You are asuming Rossi stil has it and Danny is the man he was in 2010, i think both men have changed a great deal in two years and Danny is by far the quicker of the two going on what happened towards the end of this season. Jorge is quicker than in 2010. Maquez is an unknown but i think will shock the .... out of every body more than once in his first year and then you have a host of others who have beat Rossi for two years and hold no fear of him,and holding no fear of Rossi is a big advantage, this is what gave Stoner such an edge as well as his talent and if you or Rossi think Danny or Jorge are in his shadow or intimidated by him anymore then you are in for a massive shock,a lot has happened in two years and i cant wait for the first round of 2013.

It really is that hard for me to understand. It smacks of Mary Whitehouse's insistence that most modern TV programs were degenerate, causing moral decline, and corrupting all those who watched them, while apparently watching as many of those programs as possible. Confusing, at best.
It seems fairly simple: If you think something is ...., don't watch it. I think X-Factor and <insert country name here>'s Got Talent is ...., so I don't watch it. It saves me an awful lot of time. I do from time to time watch WWE, but knowing they are scripted, I do not complain about them being fixed, and watch them for what they are: entertainment.

This is like saying, that someone is stupid for being perceptive and that real intelligence lies in naivety.
If you only partook of something that was pure then you would be involved in nothing. Why do billions of people believe in religion when religion is 100% un-proven and has existed for the smallest fraction of human existence and through out it's existence has been used as the basis for all the evil that it preaches against? Why do people passionately follow politics when the difference between right & left is about 0.01% and are grounded in corruption and self gratification as their commonality ? Why do people have relationships when most of them are flawed in many ways?
MotoGP is entertainment before it is sport. Once it was the other way around. Most things in our lives today were the other way around once upon a time.
Just because you are happy with your naive view of the world does not mean that I am not allowed to participate because I see things differently. I could easily ask you the question of why you watch if you don't care about the level of support given that impacts on the outcome? In fact it amazes me that some one could be content watching something when they have their head in the sand regarding all the influences that leads to victory. You will probably answer with "I like the entertainment". Well good for you. Enjoy it. I watch because I like motorcycles, motorcycle racing, technology, marketing and politics. If I choose to believe that some little spanish kid is getting a silver spoon ride that perhaps 2 or 3 riders out of 20 gets then that is my prerogative. As far as you questioning why I watch well, you can .... off because I will watch what I want for what ever reasons I want to.
