People will be waiting with bated breath waiting for Marquez to do something desperate, stupid-dangerous;

that or crash and burn ala Lorenzo in his first year. I'd love it if he did neither. It'd be great if he became more

accessible and turned out be fun to follow. I'm getting tired of grim-..., sullen Spaniards. But .... it - I'll settle

for good racing.

Then again Marquez might just dissarear into the sunset and leave them all for dead.

Can't see it.

2013 Lorenzo has been forged in the fiery heat of battling with Stoner, Rossi, Pedrosa, in 125, 250 and MotoGP over many years - he isn't going to sit back and let some upstart kid show him up ;)

What one must remeber is ther are many 250 (now m2) champions who were world beaters when racing against the provincial dong beaters of spain and italy - that is the lowest classes. when they got to the premier class they faced a field of chapions and joined the very qualifed list of almost beens.

I used to name the list going through all the pedros and caporissis and everything but when I type Marco's name I feel like I've commited a sin.

al these guys who dingled champiuons in the lower class learned real quick thatg the pointy end is sharp

There are some m2/250 champions that graduated to MotoGP and became one of many. However, many of the champions won in lower levels, and so the jury is still out on Marquez.

I think my point from last night (at 3am or something) was that cream rises to the top and that where he is now and those 3 remaining super riders will be hard to beat, harder than any challenge thus far. The two Yamaha guys VR and King Jorge both have amazing race craft and multiple championships each, Dani was a Repsol wonder boy once as well and has always been the bridesmaid.

Dani is however as hungry as hell and that bike is really made for him now.

The Marquee show will be the seat hanger for me next year, it will be the big interest factor in the racing. He alone can give it back its zing.

Just an observation; but has anyone noticed that all Dubby's posts seem to include a descriptive element of

....., ....... or ...... to denote his pleasure or lack of it regarding other people's posts? Maybe we should

all chip in an buy him a copy of The Big Book Of Euphemisims.

BTW - there are lots of interesting posts from Stoner fans currently - they just don't happen to be

discussing Casey. One does wonder what's become of Barry tho.

Some of those (without mentioning any names) for whom having digs at stoner and/or his fans was the main stock in trade would seem rather bereft as well.

Will the bike be made for Dani next year. You'd think so, as surely Honda wouldn't put all their eggs in the Marquez basket, would they?

Anyone remember Dani knocking Nicky Hayden off? I wonder if he'll get a taste of his own medicine from Marquez?

Not a friggin lot to discuss until February to be honest. Not even any testing going on.

Who will be public enemy #1 of the yellow horde in 2013?

Short odds being one Jorge Lorenzo, although Marquez has his claims.

Gotta be Jorge.

The Boppers will follow the Yellow Clown's lead and focus on his strongest rival.

Despite Pedrosa's late-season revival, I don't think VR will see him as a 'real' threat, at least at first.  And no one expects Marquie to find sufficient consistency out of the gate.

I think Lorenzo will consistently beat Bozo.   Rossi will respond the only way he knows how - by flinging poo in the press and playing nasty back-alley politics.  Jorge will not be amused.  Look for the atmosphere in the Yamaha garage to reach critical mass by mid-season.  By then all the other rivals will be pushed to the periphery and the Boppers will be descending on Lorenzo's motorhome in WFO Torches-and-Pitchforks mode.

Agreed there will be a lot of mind games from the clown and deluded followers but i think they are in for a major shock next season.

I don't think anybody is expecting a WC from Vale, but maybe I'm just not that deluded. I'm expecting 3-4 in WC standings and 1-3 wins. I think I would be shocked with 0 wins and trolling around in 5-6th place ala Ducati Time. But I think a tiny part of me is prepared for that, granted I also started watching in 2010 so Vale has never really had that aura of invincibility for me, he was just the most fun to watch dice it up.

I am expecting a WC from Bozo. Last chance he will ever have. He will win it then retire.

Yeah totally serious.  Rossi will be more motivated than anyone on the grid.  His ego/legacy has been severely dented over the past 2 years.  I expect him to stop at nothing to win.  Dirty tactics on and off the track with out hesitation.  He will be on the best bike on the grid.  He will have the whole MotoGP world bending what ever needs to be bent to make it happen.  And most importantly he will know that 2014 will be Marquez's year, with the whole MotoGP world shifting the weight behind Marquez.  That is why he will be all out to win and then retire.  I expect Ezy will be right behind this plan.

I also predict that Lorenzo will not win another championship.  Lorenzo relies on perfection and you can't keep perfection going when you are getting bombed left right and centre from Rossi and Marquez.  Lorenzo has become accustom to racing with riders who share a mutual respect.  That time is over and Lorenzo doesn't have it in him to get in the gutter where Rossi and Marquez race.

I think you're wrong about Lorenzo - he came up through 125 and 250 racing and was all about bashing elbows and stuffing it up the inside (but not in a .... way, you unnerstand!).

He can get down and dirty, it's just that Lorenzo, Stoner and Pedrosa chose not to engage in those sorts of antics.

You don't remember Lorenzo's first season in MotoGP???

I can agree with a bunch of that. I guess the question is does he still have the goods? Best bike or not (and that's up for debate) he still has to put it up front and I don't think Lorenzo or a re-invented Pedrosa will have any reservations about dicing it up with him.,

It is up for debate as i think the Honda was a better bike from mid season on,Rossi has to get close to Jlo and Ped to dice with them and to be honest i think they are to quick and be gone and then he will have to contend attacks from MM and Cal to name just two,i wish him luck but im not convinced.

I don't think dani will beat rossi unless the honda has a significant advanatage (which it did look to have in the latter half of the 2012 season admittedly) or rossi doesn't have a number 1 yamaha.

No, it's never been mentioned on here. When? What happened?
