I would agree with your old man.

Good to hear that you don't have a Porsche. Anyone I've known who has had one is trying to make up for something.

Imagine saying to Lex "its not about the money you dig?"

Lex is either coming up with an argument to say love is 38% more financially beneficial and/or ... is cheaper in the long term if you visit whores.

Or he has been struck the "not about money" quote and he is currently at his computer, blinking, hands poised with an expression on his face like a Labrador that's just been shown a card trick.

Atomic Number 79.

Withoutadoubtitis...

I have a good mate in NZ who, as soon as NZ legalised prostitution, dumped his whiny ..... of a girlfriend with the comment that it would be cheaper, more honest and better ... just sticking to hookers.

A whole bunch of his mates cheered over that one, his girlfriend just seemed to be constantly on the whine for more stuff.

Hakkinen - trying to make up time, last I saw

Coffee through nose, thanks .......

On some conceptual level, isn't that what Audi has just done with the design of the Ducati MotoGP chassis?

.... No.

The mother is in this case is about as attractive as a barbed wire brush enema using methylated spirits as the lunricant

She has to be related to my ex and ex mother in law. Quoting Pov, that was a tea coffee through nose moment. (I don't drink coffee but tea doesn't have the same impact in a sentence)

My old man used to always say that 'before one can laugh at others , he must first be able to laugh at himself' and sp I follow that line as it sure makes life fun and interesting.

But no Porsche fascination here (my brother had one ................ biggest PoS around)

Hell yeah brother!

I would agree with your old man.

UNLESS its a 914 which is the porsche body and VW bits. actually s disastrous collaboration that outsold the 911 for its whole model run. Completely ugly, an average drive and the only porsche I lust after.

One thing I don't understand is why Ducati isn't considering a carbon fibre frame again. Originally they had the steel trellis mini-frame which had manufacturing consistency issues. Then they replaced that with the carbon fibre airbox frame. That was ditched on advice from Rossi/Burgess to go for an aluminium twin spar frame. But then Rossi said that the bike had exactly the same front end issues as the carbon fibre frame bike. Which seems to suggest to me that the carbon wasn't the problem.

I read a very detailed discussion of the problems of the Ducati which discussed the carbon fibre frame, and suggested that carbon fibre is a very good material for making frames. In that it can be made to flex exactly to the degree a designer wants, and in the directions/axes that a designer wants. It's light and strong. And that a bike can be built with exactly the amount of "feel" that a designer provided that the designer knows how frame flex/stiffness maps onto "feel". The latter may be the problem, of course.

If Ducati wishes to beat Honda and Yamaha, then returning to carbon fibre and making it work could be the answer. Perhaps with a different style of carbon fibre frame as has been suggested elsewhere on here. Audi have extensive experience of using carbon fibre in other racing series. E.g. the Le Mans R18 ultra Prototype has a carbon fibre monocoque and gearbox casings. And most likely suspension and many other body parts. It just seems to me that if Ducati went back to a CF frame, that there's at least the potential to learn how to design a good CF frame and possibly leapfrog Honda and Yamaha. There would also be the marketing advantage of remaining a highly innovative racing constructor, rather than producing a "me, too" frame.

I'm sure there's something wrong with my reasoning here, but I don't know what it is.

Edit: Interesting to read how positive the coverage of the GP9 was when it was released. Little over a year later, the GP10 was to be a POS?!?!? http://www.gizmag.com/ducati-desmos...togp-win-for-carbon-fibre-construction/11456/

Just re read this thread. Question for Nuts and Andy Roo, when you guys met Bayliss, did he call either of you, or anyone else, Gay?

He tongue kissed me deeply and apologised, rushed off forgetting himself a little bit.

He said he remembers his only homoerotic thought in his life was playing hockey against me in high school and how hot my arse looked in the tight little maroon Melville High School sports shorts.

He could do with a shave.

No comments on Dovi's neck bothering him so much that he couldn't test but could ride a supermoto bike so well that he place in the SuperSic shoot out?

oh ...., please tell me i didn't miss the sumo race?

read something about rossi and biaggi being there too?would love to see those two at it again, altough biaggi would most likely lose on a sumo.

in dovis defense : i'm not sure you need good neck muscles for riding a supermoto,at least i never had a stiff one (neck) after riding but then again my riding skills suck big time.

edit: if anybody got the race or knows where to get it , pm highly appreciated!

The boners have gone impotent. The moment Casey left, their posts went limp.

Just an observation; but has anyone noticed that all Dubby's posts seem to include a descriptive element of

....., ....... or ...... to denote his pleasure or lack of it regarding other people's posts? Maybe we should

all chip in an buy him a copy of The Big Book Of Euphemisims.

BTW - there are lots of interesting posts from Stoner fans currently - they just don't happen to be

discussing Casey. One does wonder what's become of Barry tho.

In the meantime the legions of Vale are sharpening their blades by filling up the forum with small talk

and waiting to pounce on the first rider who trashes Rossi in 2013. I can hear the knife grinders in the background

noise, whirring away, sparks a-flashing.

Haha, i gotta admit kesh, i am waiting for that moment!

Not a friggin lot to discuss until February to be honest. Not even any testing going on.

Who will be public enemy #1 of the yellow horde in 2013?

Short odds being one Jorge Lorenzo, although Marquez has his claims.

People will be waiting with bated breath waiting for Marquez to do something desperate, stupid-dangerous;

that or crash and burn ala Lorenzo in his first year. I'd love it if he did neither. It'd be great if he became more

accessible and turned out be fun to follow. I'm getting tired of grim-..., sullen Spaniards. But .... it - I'll settle

for good racing.
