New York
My Mother was born and raised in Rutherglen and I have family all over Scotland and Newcastle (yes, I am part Geordie). Every time I visit, a trip to London is in order and then the argument as to why nobody wants to go with me..lol. Usually I wind up going alone.
I've been gone so long i wouldn't recognise the place anymore..last time i looked the lord mayor of London was a muslim and they were trying to ban christmas,i think i'll stay in NZ where i can legally own semi automatic weapons and there's not a mosque in sight.
Sounds like you want to make UK great again

I have to admit that I am a Christmas fiend, although it does help having kids. But even prior to that, during times when I have been at my lowest, Christmas has always been a great solace for me.
I get what you're saying though, Ant, for some it does heap on additional pressure or acts as a stark reminder of loneliness, it's just that it has always had the opposite effect for me.
But everyone is different I suppose, that's what makes life so interesting.
So who thinks Lin Jarvis should be fired? I do. He's a bumbling incompetent that seems to have no control over his garage or direct line with the factory in Japan.
I reckon Yamaha were hoping to keep him in place until the could hand the reins over to Rossi however with the discord that seems to be coming out the garage his sacking appears inevitable. Especially if, as was pointed out earlier, Yamaha can convince Suppo to come out retirement. Even with a promise it is short term (2 years) with bumper pay.So who thinks Lin Jarvis should be fired? To be honest, JP, I don't know enough about the minutia of team management to make an informed comment. The win drought suggests sacking him, but if you remove the Marquez factor then they're doing alright. If they don't get a win this season then he should reconsider his position. At this level that's pretty much inexcusable.
I had completely forgotten about that and was pretty much just focussing on results. With that in mind then yes you're right, he isn't strong enough for management. When Jarvis let Uccio speak for Yamaha while he hid in the corner like a spineless jellyfish, he should have been sacked. The man has no set of balls.

Jarvis was smart, you don’t get between a crazed ..... protecting her man.

I think back to someone like Colin Chapman who was brilliant but mercurial. He would have banned Uccio from that garage permanently...assuming he was ever allowed in to begin with. He took no .... from anyone. Lin Jarvis takes .... from anyone.

Nah..couldn't give a toss about the place anymore, the lefties and the Islamists can keep it..i'll stay where i am in my little corner of freedom and peace.
