<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Burky @ Jun 17 2007, 12:38 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Hey, there is no arguement. Valentino Rossi is Mr. Moto GP
no he's not mate, all the riders are motogp, rossi is just an unusual talent that brought the sport to a lot of people and will be remembered as one of the greats because of the records he broke,

More points than Doohan, wow.

yup happy now skid, i new you would come around.

i aint about to shy away from posting about rossi's glory just because a few people hate him and think rossi fans are idiots, theres been plenty here about stoner lately. but to break doohans record is quite something imo.

Doohan was in 500's for 11 seasons, makes Rossi equalling him on points all the more amazing.

no doubt rossi is a lagend and bare in mind HE'S NOT EVEN RETIRED YET. a true champion is the one that DARES to take a new challenge like what rossi did (HONDA to yamaha). nobody else deserve to win this year title except him.

So far i would have to disagree with you (have you seen the points table), but the season is still young.

Rossi's numbers continue to impress everyone, there isn't many things better than what hes achieved so far and hes not even finsihed yet. I do believe he is the best ever

Unless the point system is wrong then I think the person who scores the most points at the end of the season is the person who deserves to win.

How many points does an "if" get each race? If 'ifs' played a role then we wouldn't need to actually run the races. We could just look at the stats, the team, the bike and the tyres and then decide who should win. Unfortunately using this methord Rossi wouldn't have won his first year on Yamaha nor would Casey being winning the championship this year.

I just can not accept this deserve to win arguement. If they deserved to win then they would have.

Come to think of it I think I deserve to earn at least 1 million dollars per year. I will mention it top the boss and see what he says!

Right mate, 96 podiums in 500cc, 990cc and now 800cc, amazing. 54 on Honda (Including 23 on a satellite Nastro Azzurro Honda) and 42 on a Yamaha. Will he turn it around in favor of Yamaha with 55 Podiums for them? It would be another amazing achievement, not only for getting more podiums on a Yamaha than on a Honda. But also because if he gets up to 55 Podiums on the Yamaha, it would tie him up with the same amount of podiums achieved adding up all the other Yamaha rider podiums so far in Rossi's years of racing.

Yamaha’s total Podiums from 2000 till now: 97
Rossi’s total Podiums since 2004 on a Yamaha: 42
Other riders total Podiums since 2000 on a Yamaha: 55

its not that surprising........ is it..
