RIP Marco Simoncelli

Just for one second it did cross my mind when l saw Loris's bike with 58 on it if they had planned to let Loris win the race as a tribute to Sic and also give Loris his 100th podium. After all, the championship is decided.

But naw, they wouldn't do that, would they?

Do you know what..................I was thinking the same thing..................................:)

The way that Ducati suits the rain, he might not need the help. We forget that Loris is still a great rider, but riding a horrible bike.

Loris has gone up a few notches in my eyes running the 58.

Go Loris!

Does anyone know whether all the riders participated in this rideout?

I believe so mate, will check my pics when I get home but dont think anyone was missing.

Truly unbelievable to see every rider in GP on the track at the same time.

The memories are priceless

Just watched a few races with Sic. He will be missed for a long time. The sport really is missing something great. We,ve lost a great personality and fierce racer. We will never know what heights he may have climbed, all i know is he would have achieved something very special. ....!

Marco provided the highlight and the low point of motogp 2011 for me....

The low point is obviously his death. It was a shock to us all and its still pretty hard to come to terms with. He is going to be sorely missed. Would have loved to seen him on a 1000cc

Marco did provide a highlight for me as well in a strange way. His death instantly brought people together and there was a real bonding of bike racing fans around the world. There was such sadness, but also we will talked and eulogised so much about this young guy, his talent but also his charisma.

Jum and Arrab spoke with me on the phone just because they felt like they needed to talk to someone about what happened. Messages were flying between members all over the world. I have few friends in the UK interested in racing or bikes and did not realise the hurt that Marco's passing caused. For me, it was good to speak to someone who would understand.

The highlight was just seeing this group of people all around the world coming together, no matter what colour, religion, gender.

RIP #58

Hey guys. Wanted to share something with you all. When Marco passed away, I was speaking with a friend of mine how much of an effect the accident had on me.

My buddy is from Cinque Terre, Italy and owns an Italian restaurant here in Sacramento, CA call Hot Italian. It's a trendy pizzeria; they also name all items after famous Italian people, places, etc.

I mentioned to him that he should name something on the menu after Marco.

Well he finally did, and the drink is delicious.

Here it is! Enjoy
