2. keeping edwards is ridiculous for any future plans.

1. Getting a european rider could do them some favours.

2. Edwards is apparently one of the best development riders in the world, but he is a waste of a race seat.

This list doesn't take into account realistic team logistics, just a wish list...

Out:

Edwards
Tamada
Checa
Hoffman
Jacque

In:

Lorenzo
Dovizioso
De Angelis
H. Aoyama
Toseland (will he take the d'antin ride?)
Sofuoglu (who cares if he's only riding WSS, give him a ride)
Spies (contract to 08 / would he take a GSV-R or leave Suzuki?)
Biaggi (won't come back, but would be nice)
Bayliss (won't come back, but would be nice)
Haga (won't come back, but would be nice)

1. Maybe Cardoso will ride it. Checa will take anything with two wheels

2. Rossi is the best development rider Yamaha have, Edwards is great for testing Rossi's suggestions, polishing his boots, but very little else. Yamaha are insane if they hang on to him, Lorenzo is what they need in 08, for a title push in 09.

Perhaps, but they could try poaching an existing up and coming rider from another team. DePuniet or Vermulen could both be useful riders very soon.

go and complain to BEN

taking him ages to change the name, but considered his position (pregnant wife, job and the forum) it's not weird he hasn't got the time to change it

back to topic:
I don't think anyone should go away from motogp, the grid is tiny enough with the riders we have now! I would be glad to see Ten Kate/Aspar come to the motogp and other factories too to fill up the grid a bit more till at least 25 riders, instead of the 19 we have now.

who needs to get a ride are the obvious ones: toseland, lorenzo, dovi

I knew it would happen but i would never have guessed you to be the first to get there. I expect better from you

Barros… some nostalgia here, he’s cool for a satellite team.

Tamada… Shall I dare to say it was the Bridgestones back then on his glory wins, imagine what he would do now that they’ve improved so much on the same Honda but with Japanese tires? (800cc factor applies I know). I’d put him back on a Japanese Sponsored & tires bike like, let’s say the second rider for Konika Minolta Bridgestone Team just out of curiosity!

Nakano, is it Japanese Sponsors, or what the hell? As I said before, I’ll put a Japanese bike on a Japanese tire with Japanese sponsors and two Japaneses riders just for the fun of it! Of course it’ll never happen, it would be like trying to prove their superiority and looking worst than Honda is now, but it would be fun!

Checa did miss out on point in ‘06 at Phillip Island, but other than that did get points at all. Anyway, in ‘06 ended on 15th position, not even top ten but then again with Tech 3 Yamaha!

KRJR can go too, just had a spark in the dark last season!

Jaque = test rider.

Eduards does help consistently getting a bit of points for the team, remember 34 in a row finishes making points, so even if he starts at front row and ends out of top ten on a race day, he also has 7 out of 70 races with no points, 10% average, which is close to Rossi’s 11 out of 107 for a 9.72 average. All this means absolutely crap because one win equals 25 ‘with points’ 15th places… But consistency is there though.

Checa got very lucky at getting that LCR seat, but has ridden Yamaha, Ducati and Honda, so maybe give him a Kawasaki instead of Jaque, nobody wants them anyway.

So I agree with ‘Belgian grid girl’ from Netherlands that more Teams should step in, and with Tom that the ‘crappy' riders get the boot in other for the ‘not so crappy’ ones to warm up satellite seats to make room for the hot kids (and maybe one seat for me, I’ll take it!)

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Louise @ May 9 2007, 01:05 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Nicky Hayden

Well Pedrosa and Elias have taken Hayden down for bet! And it wasn’t me who brought dam it! (Just joking Jumkie)…

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tom @ May 9 2007, 01:17 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Checa is not making progress and could be replaced with better riders easily
I heard Checa is very important for the development of the bike. I don't know if this is true but I thought I heard this on Eurosport.

He was hugely valuable to dunlop, but Honda have 4 better riders than him.
