Predator #11 getting the measure of Dovi and ..... he's gone!

Ole DP on his satellite bike

making Dovi look like crap.

It is a good thing that valentino likes development work so much, he may need to exercise his talent in this sphere rather considerably if he goes to ducati.

Well Ithink you mean JB will have to work hard if Rossi goes Duc. ..... remembering JB laughed at the suggestion
<

But then again maybe JB has aspirations of TV personalitydom in the near future

As long as his talent is still in place. Listening to the commentators - it sounds like Ducati is a done deal.

Will JP go? Or will Rossi be working straight on with the Italians. Having no language barrier would be

a real advantage for Rossi over other Duc riders. It's weird to hear Gavin say that Yamaha can't match

Ducati's offer - but if Lorenzo's really closed a deal at the pay that's been reported - I can't see Rossi

taking that big a cut. So, will tobacco money finally put Rossi on an Italian bike. The potential for glory

or "going out with a whimper" could make for interesting PS gossip for a year.

Being consistently out-ridden by Spies is going to kill Hayden's spirit. That the problem

with being a nice guy; work ethic or not.

Spies has obviously got it, but the gp10 is nowhere. They now have a bike which is mediocre for hayden at a favoured track and which stoner can't or won't ride in his customary pyrotechnic manner.

Yeah the GP10 does seem be in limbo development-wise. Sucks. We all want to see some fireworks between

Lorenzo and Stoner, as well as between Nicky and Ben. A lot of R&D mental energy is doubtless being diverted to computer prognostications and testing re: changes for next year's bikes in order to get a jump start on the next chapter

with new displacement regulations, and Ducati is likely cooling down in their efforts to improve Stoner's bike for this season - what with the unliklihood of Stoner making a serious challenge - and his (perceived) move to Honda. If Marlboro are willing to lay out the Pretty Polly in a big way to lure in Rossi - they with their

characteristic lack of loyalty won't think twice about cutting Stoner loose (supposing he isn't already gone) . Hayden will stay on as the company mule. With Rossi out silly season is already in high gear and it all really does seem a bit hollow. I thought I'd be immune to this malaise - but apparently not.

As we all know, Stoner is the new Doohan, he therefore needs the old screamer engine back. Thats probably where the fireworks were. Just look at the sedate way the Duc corners now, thats not Stoners style
<
It had the "pep" to get out of the corners quick before now any O/taking is done with much deliberation. I preferred to watch him struggle with a beast that would let loose in the corners.

But nevermind talk is of a 3rd Factory Honda ride so its looking more and more that Stoner is to be on Honda next year, very likely its already been a done deal some months ago when the Honda chief was saying we have discussed everything but have not finalised the price.

BBC Headline red hot paddock / Italian press news

Rossi offered 9 mil Euro to stay at yam (wage drop)

Horney offered 8 mil Euro to stay at yam

Duc offer Rossi 15 mil Euro to go there

They were saying last week that the 15mil may be funded by Fiat and Ferrari with some oportunities for Rally and F1 involved.

And still JB laughed at it, so who knows
<
. It'll all play out eventually.

Not a very exciting race....
<

makes me wonder what it would have been like if Rossi was racing..Surely not a Jorge cake walk

Where the hell were Nicky and Colin today? One step backwards I think.Anyway ,racing was pepped up by RdP`s antics, great to watch.

Nicky was 3 places down on his usual position while Colin was where he's been all season. Nothing too weird about their results.

No real surprises. Atleast there's going to be a fight for 2nd in the championship. I just wish that it would include more than just the factory Honda guys.

Yeah, the GP10 has been quite a disappointment, and their race pace hasn't been as sharp as winter testing indicated it might be. The engine reliability rules have done to Ducati what the 800cc formula have done to Honda. Without the extra 1,000 revs, Ducati don't seem to have much going on. Assen is their first podium all season, and they've only had the pace to win the race at Qatar which is probably attributable to Stoner's preternatural understanding of the Losail circuit.

I don't know what to make of this season. Lorenzo is making it look so easy at the front, and the Yamaha is brilliantly sorted. From what I have been reading, Lorenzo is a paragon of tire management technique and the Bridgestone people have been giving him a lot of attention this season. He's also the only person who can make the hard tire work properly which is why he's able to maintain such good lap times over race distance. Furthermore, there isn't a single race this season where Lorenzo's pace didn't exceed Rossi's late in the race.

Whatever state of season that Colin has,he generally goes well at Assen which surprised me.Maybe he`ll have to consider SBK or retirement in 2011(I`d prefer him to do a season in SBK though) if the hunger has gone.

Not surprised with the result....lorenzo won easily of course. Well done to spies. Nicky idk what happened.

Anybody watch the post race press conference?? Stoner is complaining of having arm pump now. That guy is such a ......

Yeah, what a .....! Unless he actually had arm pump....but sure as .... he just made it up....you know, with his being a whining ..... an' all! It must have just been the pressure from Rossi getting to him. It's not like he actually seemed rather pleased with the result, and was just answering a question honestly. That couldn't be it.

Yeah Arm pump happens but usually the first season's / rookie or so to motogp etc

is it Casey trying to adapt to the bang set up Riding style ?

or Man-up needed

Interestingly Daryl Beattie pretty much said the same thing about Stoner and the arm pump issue. His opinion was that the only reason it was occuring was that he was trying to adapt to the bike.

Mind you even if Caseys front wheel fell off there would be someone bagging him for a crap excuse...........

Also I do believe that Stone said he never thought he would beat whore gay but would maybe be abit closer than he was.

Still it still shows that the only person who can ride the Duck is Casey. Nicky was never close all weekend and the only time he pulled a decent lap out was when he followed Casey.

The GP10 is competitive look at Qatar, Le mans, Silverstone and now Assen. The reason he did get a podium in the first 2 was his own fault for falling off (whatever the reason). And when Casey has been on it no other Ducati rider is even close.

Cheers
