the track was a surprise 2 most i think, they said it had lots of grip which was great as it would have been a nightmare in those conditions, if u think back 2 doha last season they said new track but no grip plus needs a few races with sum rubber laid down, weird but fun hey.

I agree, I'm not sure what to think about Sete anymore. Since be broke out in 2003 in my eyes he's been the guy who got lucky and snagged a Honda ride and now maybe his luck is running out. As far as the track goes I liked it alot, good grip, very technical, the longest and officially fastest straight in the series, and a nightmare for tire technicians. You can't ask for much more than that, the only problems I heard of was a lack of gravel in the pits, a story was written at www.superbikeplanet.com about Sete got in real hot to one of the corners and had to run it into the gravel and once in there had to lay it down cuz he wasnt slowing down enough. Solve that problem and it could be one of the best circuits on the calendar. My only regrets are so many riders struggled or retired with electrical problems due to the heavy moisture and that Hopkins ran it into the gravel. Its only a matter of time until he comes good.
