I think Rossi would trade a rub down from Uccio just to win at Phillip Island again.

Although beating him in round 1 would give him a victory at a Stoner track and a mental edge (he'll be looking for that again this season)

Good to see you back! Been wondering what happened to you! Silly season - not your cup of tea?

Only 20 minutes into FP1 and Stoner is blindingly fast. Amazing!
Rossi 2nd, .6 behind, with Dovi a surprising 3rd, 1 second behind Casey.

Haystack and Lorenzo off to a slow start.
Toxic Midget just now squeaking into the top 15.

1. Casey - fast as ever!
2. Vale - in sniffing distance - see him blow by Hayden?
3. Colie - your lookin' fast, old man, don't f-up...
4. Jorge- started slow but finished well - hope it continues
5. De A - de bomb! Fastest Honda so far...
6. Loris - Keepin' the others honest
7. Kallio - excellent job kid - keep it up!!
8. Dovi - I expected more...
9. Marco - kudos for effort - can he keep the Hayate competitive?
10. Randy - ahh who cares
11. JT - don't crash man...

well so far it looks like what most of us think is gonna happen... stoner steaming away rossi steaming away just behind but not enough to win 3rd lookin like it could be a toss up cause i don't think edwards will maintain pace in the race, hes always fast when it does not matter, lorenzo is getting up to speed but still lacking, deangelis top honda
<
but won't be in the race, dovi struggling, depuniet could finnish well if he stays on 2 wheels, kallio looks to be the next best duc & pedrocchio.... well hes hurt...... well see how tommoro gos.
<

..and it would seem that Loris has already used up one of his softer tyres from his allocation.

In point of fact Bridgestone have only brought medium and soft compounds. Last year Losail was unsurprisingly measured as the coolest track temperature come the main race of the entire season.
