Qatar test

Gee ya get a rare ride in MOTO GP on a decent team on a decent bike. Then you want to sit back and let it all go by as though it is no big deal. WTF Melandri if your to do anything get it together and bust your .... You never know these days especially when your next meal ticket is coming to town so you shouldn't be afraid of hard work you should be afraid of having no work at all.

I was going to post something similar about Nicky because that this is totally not like him. If I was to speculate, I would say they are either testing out engine life for the last 8 races of the season. Or their technicians work this way. Run a few laps, collect data, make changes, run a few more laps, rinse and repeat. Maybe they can figure it's working or not in a few laps time. Last but not least, they are trying to prove that less testing time does not equal any savings whatsoever
<

I wonder how Nicky is doing with the new format. He usually just puts his head down and rides tons of laps. Maybe that really wasn't his style but the way that Honda treated him

You know what would be a good cost cutting plan? Remove Qatar from the calendar and just give Stoner the trophy and the points.

A very interesting thought! Perhaps Honda just snubbed him and sent him out to do laps, but Ducati actually pulls him in for feedback and tweaks to his bike. there might be something to that...

"I'm obviously happy with the time that I could do and I kept pace, but we wanted to do more laps to do more testing - said the Australian - but knew that to 22:00 the conditions of the track and so would have worsened and the state. Slipped into the entrance to the curve 2 was very similar to that of last year, from almost straight. I returned with the other bikes soon, but with the treacherous asphalt so we preferred to stop a while 'before, because the conditions had deteriorated further. We have managed to try different solutions to electronics, some other, less positive, and confirm the good feelings I had yesterday with the new swingarm. We still need a little 'time to better understand this new component and we will continue to try to Jerez. The wrist has gone quite well. I am less evil than Sepang even if the mobility has not improved much. We will see how the slopes with abrupt braking input curves to the left, which are those that bring the most in crisis. "

Thanks for posting.

Wow, Pedrosa is actually really badly injured then? I wonder who Honda would get to replace him if he missed the season start..

Has anyone noticed there are very few comments from Suzuki about the tests.I would really like to hear something from Loris and CV.

If Melandri or Hoppkins aren't available, I'll be giving it a go to pick up some constructor points and such
<

And don't worry, Loris will be running his mouth soon enough.

Suzuki's motogp site hasn't been updated for a while but they are usually pretty quiet until after the tests. The results speak for themselves really they are right up front and consistent. Melandri put in 73 laps...not a bad effort. Doesn't seem like giving up to me and he is almost tied with Pinball and that Yamaha is fast as hell. Hayden, cripes some more practice and he might be a contender.

Sad thing is, you're probably right. He'll get pole position for sure, then with the whole track ahead of him and everyone behind him he'll build up his lead to a ridiculous amount and we'll watch everyone else fight to be on the podium. It very well could be a boring, boring race.
