Qatar Race - Rnd 1 2015 - SPOILERS

It's on Crash.net now too.

MotoGP News - MotoGP: ?I cannot continue racing this way? - Pedrosa

IF he sits out some rounds, who's going to replace him? I'd love Hayden to! But realistically think Crutchlow would be most likely.

Jorge says his pace dropped off due to the helmet fabric above his eyes dropping down, see here:

https://twitter.com/lorenzo99forum

I couldn't find a way to direct link the pic.

1. Valentino Rossi Gotta hand it to him, he rode grat.
2. Andrea Dovizioso Wanted him to win, but still 2nd is a great start
3. Andrea Iannone Crazy Joe wasn't so crazy!
4. Jorge Lorenzo Gutted he dropped off, think he could have given Rossi a harder time than "Desmo Dovi"
5. Marc Marquez Did he use up all his fuel getting up to 5th?
6. Dani Pedrosa Arm pump explains it...career ender?
7. Cal Crutchlow Finished probably about where he would have anyway.
8. Bradley Smith Good job considering he nearly missed QP2
9. Pol Espargaro Eh.
10. Yonny Hernandez Seriously impressed
11. Aleix Espargaro Good start, needs more poke!
12. Danilo Petrucci Again he impressed me

The rest, didn't really see

You have to think that HRC already knew about Dani's problems and has had a plan ready for some time.

I actually think that is exactly why they hired Cal. if Dani goes out then they needed a fast and fit rider to replace him. If Cal moves up, even temporarily, then they can give Jack Miller Cal's bike. Lets be honest, Jack is loved by HRC far far more than any other RS rider at the moment, so any chance to 'prep' him for the full RC213v will be taken by HRC

The other scenario I think is possible, HRC do a deal with Marc VDS for Tito or Alex Marquez....in exchange for giving Redding more data, more help, etc that he needs to succeed.....I dont see Redding being offered or taking Dani's ride if offered.

Though Hayden is much loved by many here, you have to note that he may not be 100% healthy himself......the BTSport announcers did mention several times over this weekend that Nicky has been seen icing his bad wrist. When asked why, Nicky refused to answer or evaded the question (at least according to the BTSport guys)....So either Nicky has a real problem with his wrist again (very bad news), or he still psychologically feels he needs to nurse it. Either reason would make him a poor choice to replace Dani in the Repsol team, IMHO...

Stoner....no chance....Casey wouldn't take a back seat to Marc and HRC wont take the chance of having Marc being beat by Casey and possibly lose the rider title due to them fighting each other on the same bike and team....

any other options?

"The concessions for Ducati – now applied to Suzuki and Aprilia – were vital. Without them, Ducati would not have been able to develop the Desmosedici fast enough, and become competitive before the patience of Philip Morris ran out. If Ducati had not be granted concessions, they would no longer be in MotoGP."

Krop LOL.... and how do you know that? Unless you decided that they no longer should race. kkkkkkkkkk

I wonder where the hell he takes this bullcrap from, "gossip" + "rumours" + "Krop thinks" = "true".

That's what I'm talking about. This is not journalism, is "guessism". Stop this .... if you want some real respect.

If Dani sits out then I would suggest a rider who currently doesn't have a ride would be the choice. At least somewhere on the grid that has to happen if a rider is shuffled up then another rider has to come in to fill that spot.

With Stoner having just agreed to ride in the 8hr it would not be beyond reason that he could slip in for a race or 2. Honda needs someone who can steal points from Yamaha and now Ducati. Who else but Stoner can do that?

Philip Morris pays the tab. Philip Morris came close to pulling their funding. How do I know this? Because someone paid by Philip Morris told me.

But you know better than me, of course, because.... well, just because.

EDIT: Also, I love the fact that you read every word I write, then come on here to attack me for not being a proper journalist.

bla bla "the brother of my friend who dates a girl who knows the son of Morris told me, therefore, this must be true"

Nice piece of guessism.

Stoner could only replace Marquez, if ever that was needed. But after all his proclaims that MotoGP stinks because of too much promotion work off track and electronics on track (championed by his employer...) it seems unlikely. If we are to believe him.

If it is just a brief absence by Pedrosa, they could use a test rider for a few races. If it is something longer, they could draft Crutchlow to complete the season (he has the potential to steal points to Ducatis and Yamahas, without interfering too much with MM93).

Gui22a, If you want to turn every thread into a hate-ism of Krop then either place him on ignore or stop posting. By all means, if you have something insightful to contribute do so, but enough of the 'Krop is full if .....' agenda every post.

I'm beginning to think maybe he DID shag your girlfriend....cheeky ....... :p

I was just having fun with his disregard with the italian mark.

But for true, our clash could give a hand to shake this site a bit.

Every forum needs some antagonism.

i would never wish anyone to end there career through injury but I think its a long time over due that someone else got what is arguable the best bike on the track. but it pains me to say I don't think its Crutchlow , Redding or Miller . the guy who i believe will would make most impact on the Repsol is in a 2 year deal with Suzuki and im not talking about Espargaro . cant see it being stoner for all the reasons that migs angel said .

but back to the race loved it Rossi was never on my radar to be on the top step of the podium, Was a pleasure to watch , what a difference having a few more competitive bikes on the grid makes as in the case of mm93 at the back had 2 Aprillias to get past (not that they were competitive i might add) . but the Suzuki's and extra Ducati's from Avinitia and the two from Promac that are quite quick for more laps than they were last year all added to stress he put on his tyres not to mention the time took to pass them all added to the drama and made it a better event to watch . as i will confirm . my girlfriend watched it as her first bike race ever and got very animated watching it .. (it was a pass or fail moment for her lol and she passed lol )

The HJC tecs at the track really need to get a grip of them selves thats the 3rd time now ive heard of there product causing a rider problems one ben spies and Lorenzo both with fogging issues now this . not acceptable at this level of racing

The allowances that Ducati ,Suzuki and Aprilla have clearly work for better racing and hopefully Suzuki will be in the mix by the end of the season and a year later Aprillia will be interfering at the sharp end as well .

combine that with a very strong field of riders its awesome

best opener ive seen in my limited time of watching since 2009 . more bikes = more shenanigans =more action and produces a great show .

and its not AS predicable

Are you saying there is a Gui22a & Krop match? In that case...

mj

That we like the Open set of rules or not, they seem to be working.
Ducati took one year of development to regain competitivity (rather than 3), Suzuki and Aprilia are back, KTM is on the way... for once, not bad Dorna.

your man GiGI seems to be the big difference there the gp14 he inherited is even going a lot lot better than last year .
But in the same breath i really hope that it is the case as if Suzuki and aprillia get into the mix we are going to see some crazy close fighting races that no one will be able to call a little like yesterday

The ....... word is "speculation" not "guessism" that is not even a word. I just had to say that, I had to, regardless of first language or not.
