is any one else curious about the test today(mon 12th) of the losail track and its lighting?

will be a half-hour test of 3 main components...

1.general lighting and visibility....

2. as above but on a wet track to simulate a rain/wet race...

3. if there is total power/light failure....

seems quite comprehensive and thought out. all manufacturers will have one rider representing them on a street bike...

good PR or is it Dorna clutching at straws and trying out the next cheap crowd pleaser?

I said this already how do they do practice and qualify when the race is at night in completely different temps!

And Ive been looking at your sig for a while and it doesnt really make sense

Rossi isn't testing at Qatar now because of his hand injuries he got at Valencia so James Toseland is taking his place in the test today just so you Rossi fans and fans of Moto GP know.

Hm I don't know how this test is going to work out. It will be very interesting to see what it is like.

James Toseland will ride a road bike around the floodlit track in preparation for the very first MotoGP race to be held at night at the Losail circuit on March 9 next year.

Rossi couldn't test anyway because he had those hand injuries so they gave the test to James now. Really looking forward to these results and also what James says about the test in the dark.

That'll take some doing.

It was destroyed (on purpose) 9 or so years ago.
