I disagree. The more he races the more he realizes "statistics" are against him.
But, I don't think Stoner is the type to ever be able to just doddle around to get the best position he can safely. And as I'm sure he knows, thats even scarier.
If you are pointing to the latest accident than I have to say .... happens when you are racing at that level. But basically as long as he is racing at this level with that number of kids (2?3?4? don't know) he deserves the respect and the two thumbs up because it takes huge balls to risk your life when you have kids.

I expect he's considered that. Remember it's not racing per ce that he doesn't like. It's all the nonsense that surrounds it. Knowing that victory could be that much sweeter in light of all the critiquing of his decision - he will be that much more motivated to win. The possibility of a three championship legacy will I imagine sharpen his focus.

One thing is for sure, those who expect Stoner to be less motivated after his announcement, are deluding themselves. He will try as best as he can to win all of the remaining races, and enjoy himself. Given his current supremacy, I would expect him to win 12 races this season. That means 10 out of the remaining 15.
I have to change my opinion about the motivation because of two reasons:
1) I saw somewhere that Casey said himself his competitive style will wash out his loss of passion through out the rest of the season.
2) He was great in the first 2 practices.
So the battle is still on but I still liked it if he announced his decision later.
