This will only torture me, being 3 weeks break time, but here goes...
1. Gibernau - I see gibbers making up for last weeks embarrassing mistake by reeating at brno from last years result.
2. Rossi - Can't win EVERY race! lol
3. Hayden - A disappointment last year crashing out of 4th with 4 laps to go... Thi year hes shown he can hang and i hope to see him atop the box again.
4. Biaggi - who cares. lol
5. This is the toughest call of them all. Edwards after his not-so-good race in germany? Melandri back on track in the top 5? Barros continues to impress? Nah... i'm going to go along with the Nakano pick. I like that.
This is Biaggi's favorite track but I don't know if he can do it. He had a very impressive record at Sachsenring but he could only manage 4th place. One to watch will be John Hopkins, Brno is his favorite track and he was fastest in the only dry session in 2004 only to qualify 19th. He then worked his way up to 8th only to retire due to a mechanical. Here is my Top 5.
Rossi - Anyone got a valid argument against that?
Gibernau could be here if last weeks late mistake doesn`t get to him
Barros- The old man isn`t finished yet!
Hayden - Still needs to show he can win away from home ground
Melandri - Needs to start building those points again!
Edwards - Biaggi - these two are going to tangle!
1. Rossi- He didnt win here last year, thats enough motivation for him.
2. Gibernau- He'l lead the whole race but wont win because of his 'self-pressure'.
3. Biaggi- i reckon podium for max from 3rd row.
4. Hayden/Edwards/Melandri- cant decide! My heart says John Hoppkins tho...
I did for so long, especially when playing on PS2. There is no character to it and the braking markers are a bit confusing, it has a very odd flow to it. And then it hits you, that's the beauty of Brno. It's so simple that it becomes difficult. Turn left, short chute, turn right, short chute, turn left, turn right, straight. I've come to enjoy it for it's simplicity, I have a feeling it is a track that would be a lot of fun to cruise on when riding a lonely race.
I see what you mean. On the PS2 i hate it cos its hard to win, easy to come second but hard to win. Yet if your cruising its more fun cos your not trying to hit that same marker every lap. I find i can over-ride Brno very easily on the PS2.
Exactly, the simplicity is the hardest part of it. Often times you find yourself really trying to hit that brake marker and maybe a bit past because after all, it is a relatively easy corner.... that is until you're in the kitty litter and have lost nearly a second on whoever you were chasing.
