They've resurfaced 2 out of 3 years, they've modified the track elevation in some aread, and they've extended the runoff areas twice.

What do you want? A signed note from Ezy?

For the record , I could only remember Laguna Seca was the only thrilling racing in MotoGp 2008. Last year was so so. It has nothing to do with track. It must be electronic and 800 cc bike.

I wonder why WSBK this year was so much fun?

then if they have invested in all that work it is safe ! jesus H christ what do you .... stabbers want ? a calender of cookie cutter tracks where they can all ride around in a nice safe prossion ?

A. how does that particulary influence the smaller clases that probably won't wheelie (as much)
B. How can you consider any corner combination, except maybe the most extreeme ( the cork screw might be close ), as long as there is enough run off.

Now doubt the corner is tricky but that's just part of the challenge on any track.

+1

That is a spectacular track! The elevation changes and s's make it one of the sweetest tracks I have ever seen. I am sure teh moto gp guys will want a piece of it.

And props to Bayliss, simply on another level. He is truly the GOAT, just like Rossi and Carmichael...

Actually Spa Francorchamps was on the GP circuit back in the 80s. I don't recall why it was abandoned.

Rog, this isn't Britain.

When an American says something is unsafe it isn't the same as saying it should be banned.

I have no problem with mildly unsafe tracks. Laguna is one of them, that's all.

I used to love watching the two strokes fly around spa in a cloud of blue smoke!!
Prob got dropped cause of safety, not much run off on turn one for example!

Hear hear!

nah not 1 race per country. if one country has multiple great tracks, I dont care if its in the same country. ok, 5 in one region is a bit much, and it must be hell for those being in different timezones. I just want to see some good races on fun tracks. therefor, I would love to see the motogp at portimao.

This will give Espy more leverage and power to ask for lower costs to circuits. Where is Brands Hatch, For next year?

Will Espy go to Estoril amd ask for lower cost and price? In two years can they drop Estoril if Portimao beats them in cost?Very Interesting!

Cant they just put out lots of those "slippery when wet" cones and everything will be ok

if portimao is that great, then i hope it appears on the calendar. but i have to wonder, if they can't find other great tracks in some other place that 5 (supposedly) of them could be found in just one region.

Most be a Dorna ‘Spanish keep it close to home so we can control it better’ thing!

I am not sure we do, the provisional 09 Calendar was:

1 - Losail - 12/04/09
2 - Motegi - 26/04/09
3 - Jerez - 3/05/09
4 - Le Mans - 17/05/09
5 - Mugello - 31/05/09
6 - Catalunya - 14/06/09
7 - Assen - 27/06/09
8 - Laguna Seca - 5/07/09
9 - Sachsenring - 19/07/09
10 - Donington - 26/07/09
11 - Brno - 16/08/09
12 - Indianapolis - 30/08/09
13 - Misano - 6/09/09
14 - Balaton - 20/09/09
15 - Estoril - 4/10/09
16 - Phillip Island - 18/10/09
17 - Sepang - 25/10/09
18 - Ricardo Tormo - 8/11/09

I think adding new tracks is a good thing. to keep things fresh. once all the riders know the track it takes a little of the fun away i prefer to see everyone not knowing anything like at indy. it shows who can adapt to the track faster hence proving their riding skills not just tyres and bike

german Europsort commentators said there will a new track be built near Zaragosa!

so this would be another Track in spain!

wonder why they need so many tracks, and how they are able to effort all this tracks
