Portimao looks like a very cool track. Technical and flowing. very difficult to cover your line. Lot's of elevation changes, fast corners and one long straight.

Riders are invited to do misstakes in downhill braking sones and by covering the inside.
Looks like a track where we could see some good fights even in MotoGP.

replace one but do not add, oh please...

why not add it? its a great track. I wouldnt mind spain/portugal having 5 gp

I know, motogp is a world sport, and 1 region having 5 gp isnt really worldwide. but everyone who saw the wsbk today has to agree it looks like a great track for motogp. finally a track not designed by tilke!!

Just caught the replay of the first race, add that track now!

I like full full calendar but if one needs to be dumped: Valencia, what a f-in borefest! And I paid to enter

i am not against the track...hence why i said REPLACE...if it's really great, can it just replace some other track...you've said it yourself, it's 5 tracks already in a region. if you're over at my side of the world, you might understand my sentiments

1 race per country with maybe the exception of America due to it's size and population.
bring back welcom and rio

I know everybody loves to blast Tilke but he did design Turkey, a track brilliant for both F1 and MotoGP. We just forgot because Greedy Bernie got his hands on it

Portimao isn't safe for smaller classes (or any classes really). It'd be like laguna.

lol, you clearly don't know how the internet works. Idle, multiple tabs, etc. Plus you're really weird for even noticing that.
No, Laguna isn't very safe (by MotoGP standards). The new track looks sick, but a steep hill that causes riders to wheelie into a decreasing radius 0 camber corner isn't safe either.
FWIW, I've been to Laguna and the corkscrew is terrifying.

well ive not only been to laguna ,im lucky enough to have ridden it. the track is beautiful with lots of run off ect. the corkscrew is great but turn 1 is far more terrifying imo.

Eh, I still don't get it.
A. how does that particulary influence the smaller clases that probably won't wheelie (as much)
B. How can you consider any corner combination, except maybe the most extreeme ( the cork screw might be close ), as long as there is enough run off.

Now doubt the corner is tricky but that's just part of the challenge on any track.

Don't know about Welkom, but Rio would be OK again.

Spa Francorchamps would be amazing for the GP bikes too.

They should definitely replace Valencia with something though.

As I drove back from Amsterdam today I was like why does this place "Spa Francorchamps" sound so familiar. Now I now why!! I say put it on the calendar since I just found out I live less than an hour away from there. Now I just need to plan a track day there next year! I hope the Euro rate stays good :>)
