I read an article,that heard a rumor that Stoners dog walkers cousins neice that reads dyno charts at Briggs and Stratton overheard the facilities window washer mention that his brothers deceased uncle had read an instagram update from the president of Stoners Tennessee fan club, that stated that Stoner is not dead therefore there is a possibility that he may come back to GP

I like the idea of points for pole and fastest lap, but I'm not sure it would make much difference. If, for example, MM gets on the same roll he was on before PI, the title will still be decided well before the last race.


 


They could always institute a mandatory pit stop race, with the actual race being chosen at random. Certainly worked last year.

Or extra 10 points for any racer who can definately  confirm that stoner as left the party for good, eh jkd.
 
You can't make a sport competitive by keep moving the goal posts. That just makes it lame. A point for pole i would not object too, but nothing more.

They could just retro fit all the bikes on the grid with the same turbo design from Stoners 2007 Duc...

Adding a point for fast lap and pole would add a little extra to the show without making an EffWun inspired mockery the the points system.
 
They should switch to 32-17-13-12-11 for the first five positions instead of the current 25-20-16-13-11 to improve the risk/reward equation for trying to come first.


 


A BSB/NASCAR style Showdown/Chase would also be a bit of a laugh so why not? Dorna might be all for it as it would (probably) keep Rossi in with a theoretical sniff of the championship until the last few rounds.
