MotoAmerica: Cooper, Hickman Riding Factory-Backed Triumphs In Daytona 200

Richard Cooper and Peter Hickman are planning to race factory-supported Triumph Street Triple 765 RS's in the MotoAmerica Daytona 200.

Several relatively big announcements for international competitors. Hickman is coming over as are the YART boys, Marvin Fritz and Karel Hanika (unsure if Canepa is actually confirmed).

Should be fun.

Are Gas Monkey not getting in on this, looks to be plenty of advertising space left on that bike? They did pretty well at the TT so hope they can come together.

I'm unsure if Gas Monkey will sponsor. Pete is doing this under the banner of his own race team with support from FHO, who have a working relationship with Gas Monkey Garage after last year's TT. Advertising budgets are finite. Sponsoring PHR at Daytona could have downstream sponsorship consequences for FHO at the TT.

In other news, Xavi Fores has also been confirmed at Daytona with Attack Yamaha. He'll be another international rider to watch this year.
