47.03: "We knew we couldn't avoid that he [Rossi] could watch or copy our settings, but we could make sure that he didn't follow me in qualifying. He already knew my qualifying strategy. We had to let him think that we were going to go out first. We thought that Max was watching so he could tell him when he had to go out. When I was about to get on the bike, I decided to go back and wait for everyone else. I guess he was waiting to go right after me. He took the bait."
Btw, he goes on to say Iannone followed him and got a better time. Jorge confronted Iannone about it, saying one time is ok, but two times is too much. To which Iannone responded, yes I'm sorry, conceding, but says I'll repay you. Lorenzo says Iannone paid him back by beating Rossi at PI.
(Btw, this movie also shows how much respect and well these guys get along, Pedro, Marquez, Lorenzo, Iannone, congratulating eachother, etc. Contrasted to Rossi who looks like it's contrived. I laughed when Lorenzo says these things kept Rossi from sleeping well. Undoubtedly Rossi gave Iannone a good tongue lashing for the crime of racing him.)
You have to wonder how much .... Rossi has got away with over the years. Especially during a time others couldn't challenge him in terms of clout, status, and audacity. Surely Rossi loved having Hayden and Edwards around.
But wait, it wasn't in an official Yamaha /Dorna press release, so you won't believe it.
